English footballer Wayne Rooney has been in the news for quite some time now, especially for his decision to leave the club, perhaps he was so desperate to leave the club until recently that he made two formal requests to leave Manchester United in recent past. It was rather a difference of opinions between a player and club, but now things can change somewhat coz the manager who gave him his first break playing for Everton, is now the new manager of Manchester United. It could be a good news for him, but on the other hand it could also be a bad news for new manager, coz right in the beginning he will have to face a running spat between a player and club. Even if Rooney decides to stay with the club after new manager’s arrival, he would be subjected to fans anger for not showing similar loyalty during Ferguson regime. As far relations between Rooney and Moyes are concerned there is a small dent put on by the footballer back in 2006 where he almost defamed his manager in his autobiography, but thanks to his sense, he asked for a telephonic apology four years ago, though, he had to pay damages for his remarks about manager. Sources close to player have revealed that he is using a wait and watch policy to see how things proceed at United, and even if he could change his decision to make a shift, it would not be an easy life for him at Old Trafford now.
At the moment, he has two years left in his current deal and according to present deal, he earns £250,000 a week, so if club agrees to offer him another deal, it would be interested to see how his new salary will be determined coz he has already said on several occasions that he wants an increment which still looks nowhere in the making, however, things can change significantly if new manager finds him worthy enough for a hike. Moreover, Rooney looks to be a neutral player at the moment coz he has changed his status on social network and started mentioning as a ‘NikeUK athlete’ in place of a United player.
There are other developments which could shun Rooney chances to remain at the club and one of them is Cristiano Ronaldo who has long been expected to make a return to his old club. Let’s see if Rooney stays at United under his former Everton manager or if he makes a final shift from Old Trafford.
