Can Real Madrid sign a comparable striker to that of Barca’s Neymar which was signed by their arch rival last week is a big question at the moment, coz Spanish giant is trying hard to lure Spurs to take a note on its transfer offer while on the other side, EPL club is trying hard to keep the player of the year award holder with them. However, it is also very clear that Real has apparently offered a spectacular £85 million for the 23-year-old which is more than a world record signing amount paid for United’s Cristiano Ronaldo when Los Galacticos signed him back in 2009. Now, Real Madrid sporting director Zinedine Zidane has come forward and asked Bale to initiate his transfer request to his club to fasten his transfer to La Liga club. This is something unusual where a club is pressurizing its favorite player to speed up the paper work by filing a formal request. Actually, Spurs have not qualified for the next year’s Championship League hence it is also a viable option for Bale to be in a side where he can get more exposure; therefore, he himself looks keen to make a shift this summer.
On the other side, Spurs boss Andres Villas-Boas, who has until been confident to preserve his striker, now looks to be impressed with the record breaking signing amount Real could be offering to them. Until now, he himself believed that Bale is more than satisfied staying at White Hart Lane hence he will ignore provoking statements issued from Real’s den. While, Zidane said that “I think Real Madrid have made their admiration of Gareth Bale very clear – and it has been made clear that we would not be put off by the cost of the player. But if Gareth feels now is the time to move then he has to have a private discussion with his club and express that he wants to leave.”
Actually, Welshman is among the top summer targets for Real this season and when they failed to lure Neymar its time to capitalize another opportunity to sign another superstar in the making Bale. Taking about career prospects playing at Real coach Croat recently said, “He would give the team another dimension. His shot, his strength, his speed, his offensive power. He is the type of player who will help us take a step forward. It is a complicated issue for me because I was with Tottenham. I can tell you we’re friends and he is an exceptional player. I guarantee it. And whether the club is Real Madrid, Tottenham or another, they can only win if they sign a player like that. If it is Real Madrid, it’s better for us.”
