Money rains in soccer and here a cash-rich club can always afford to spend hundreds of million dollars for strengthening its team and Barcelona is perhaps one of the few biggest rich soccer clubs who can lure anyone with their extra zeroed paychecks. Everyone remembers how it defeated its arch rival Real Madrid in a race to buy sensational Brazilian striker Neymar though they had to pay around sixty millions euro for him. For any other club, a paramount buying like this would have blocked any further buying, but this doesn’t hold true with Spanish giant. Reportedly, Barcelona think-tank is now planning to reinforce their defense a bit by hiring one or more midfielders. Actually, Barca has had a best striking force in last few seasons especially dominated by Messi in the last one; in fact, Barca is among the few teams who have fired a record number of goals. By winning four titles in last five years they are having a dream spell still they have conceded 40 goals in last 38 played matches which shows their defense is little bit week than their attack and its technical team is taking this ever more seriously after they fired up their forward line with Messi and Neymar in the lead.
Neymar’s Brazilian national teammate Thiago Silva is reportedly the new interest of Camp Nou club after his brilliant performance in Ligue 1. At the moment, it looks a difficult task since he is under contract of PSG untill June 2017, and more importantly, Parisians are not willing to let him go at least in this summer. Moreover, EPL champion Manchester United is also interested in the Brazilian. Silva’s agents recently revealed in an interview that PSG midfielder is more interested in joining Barca than any other club and if rumors are to be believed; Blaugrana has placed a €32 million bid to buy its needy midfielder. Though, there is no confirmation as of yet from Barca or PSG about the reliability of this offer, but it looks a possibility especially after Barcelona director Toni Freixa’s recent comment that they are in a position to sign another ‘biggies.’
According to Silva, Tito Vilanova himself approached him to make a shift to Spain from France. His agent said in the interview that “There’s a lot of talk that Tito likes him, but if that’s the case, someone should open talks. If you want to sign someone, you will not succeed in doing so by sitting at home watching television.”
