EPL runner-up Manchester City’s new manager is trying to do some kind of experiment these days by hiring players in their expiring days. This is perhaps against the raining strategy in soccer these days where clubs all around the world are hiring young players at rather a cheaper price. Though, an experience thirty plus player also costs much lesser but still it is a gamble to bet on someone after his glorious days are gone. Spanish club Real Madrid is one of the few top rated clubs who generally do not sell their peak players, but present case is slightly different, coz according to rumors in the media, EPL club is interested in Real’s thirty-year old center defender Pepe. This is a surprising bid by Pellegrini especially looking at upcoming Champions league yet it’s not entirely unbelievable coz City has already done this with other buying this summer. Like, they have already signed 28-year old Fernandinho along with Alvaro Negredo who is also a 27-year old player. The unexpected policy being followed by Blues looks to be an attempt from new manager to make an instant impact in upcoming European events.
As far Real’s will to discharge him is concerned, it is most likely to happen smoothly, coz Pepe is already a grown player for them and moreover he also has sustained some injuries off late. Notably, Pepe joined Spanish giant back in 2007 when he made a high worth makeshift from Porto. His current contract with Real is until 2016 so La Liga club would definitely like to recover its initial investment made on him.
