Football stars enjoy life more thoroughly than anybody else, but they also have some disadvantages of being notable personalities than others, i.e., any of their misconducts also becomes a front page news in entire soccer fraternity. This is something that is being happened with Birmingham City striker Marlon King who is arrested by London police in connection with a hit-and-run case. The accident supposed to be taken place at central London in the early hours of Saturday morning where a car reportedly hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian has seemingly sustained a head injury which is not serious though, but entire road got jammed after the incident and according to eye-witnesses, it was King’s car that did not stop after the accident which raised investigating offers’ eyes and they later arrested him on doubt of being the one who hit the pedestrian. The injured man in his 40s was immediately taken to the nearby central London hospital and after initial investigations his injuries look not so serious and if brain scans also come out clean; he would be discharged in next 24 hours. However, doctors have not ruled out any possibility of a blood clot on the area where he sustained injury.
The striker, who has recently been linked with several clubs for a possible makeshift, is rather an old one for soccer; therefore, Birmingham City is also trying to get rid of an aged player. He is reportedly been available as free transfer hence likely to be signed by a Championship club in next couple of weeks though nothing has yet been officially confirmed. Informing about the incident and possible involvement of the forward, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said that “A 33-year-old man was arrested by officers from City of London Police on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision and taken to a central London police station. He has been bailed to mid-September pending further inquiries. Detectives from Westminster are investigating.”
Similarly, Blues also accepted to have knowledge of the incident and confirmed that they are following the developments closely. King, who has been associated with several clubs in the past including Watford, Middlesbrough, and Coventry City, has been one of the leading strikers for his club. In fact, he won Watford player of the season award during his stay at Vicarage Road. This case looks like to be an open and shut case but further investigations will clear if he has any role in the mishap or not.
