Last few weeks were full of deeds for Spanish player Cesc Fabregas coz two of the top soccer clubs were virtually fighting to keep him. Though, he is in contract with Barcelona; United has long been keeping an eye on him, therefore they were also trying to bring him to England, but unfortunately, Barca did never ponder any of their sign-up attempts. Notably, EPL champions placed two bids for the player but none of them could see the light of the day coz they were rejected on the sport without given a second thought. Now, when it seems David Moyes has done his best to bring him to Old Trafford, Fabregas himself sprinkles salt on his wounds by saying he did never desire to leave Barcelona. This statement looks surprising and time specific coz earlier, when United has been placing bids, he did never come forward and say anything publically, but, now, when it is sure that he would not go anywhere, he is trying to convince his loyalty to bosses at Camp Nou. In fact, it was his silence that fueled the rumors that he wanted to leave La Liga champions; anyway, he now accepts openly that he would love to stay in Spain playing alongside players like Messi and Neymar.
Midfielder said in a press conference that “Triumphing in Barcelona is what I have been hoping for all my life, it’s been my dream since I was a child. I am very happy at Barcelona and I haven’t spoken to any other club in the last two years. I’ve been relaxed about it the whole time, I didn’t have to clarify anything because the only thing I was thinking about was staying at Barca. As I haven’t deceived anyone or hidden anything, I told the club’s press department that I would speak when it was my turn to speak to the press.”
Talking about any possibility to see him playing in the EPL or whether there is any reality in rumors that link him with United, he replied, “Stories have been invented. I don’t know why speculation grew even after Tito, Zubizarreta, Tata and Bartomeu all said they wanted me to stay. I was never given any sign from the club to make me think they didn’t want me, I have always felt wanted here. I spoke to Bartomeu, the president in person and Tata also told me he wanted me to stay and there’s been no problem.”
