Ever since Barcelona has been banned by the FIFA to sign any underage player, it has become a hot topic of discussion among football geeks who are coming up with different sets of excuses about the current system being followed by the Spanish giant. Notably, world governing body recently found Barca in violation of its code of conducts regarding less than eighteen years of age players hence they banned the La Liga champions to sign any player for next fourteen months, which means, they would not be able to impart in at least two transfer windows. However, in a dig to find out the base of FIFA investigation, many had said Barcelona would find out the complainant who is behind these allegations and suspect a conspiracy in the whole process. It is a fact that Catalan giant has been passing through a bad phase these days as their former president had to resign off corruption charges in Neymar transfer deal and now their system of nourishing players is under scrutiny. But, despite all the hyperboles, Blaugrana is not ready accept any of the accusations imposed by the FIFA as they still persist they have one of the most successful training systems that has been providing some of the biggest soccer stars in last many decades, hence there is no reason they should be held accountable for this.
On the other side, FIFA say, Barcelona has violated its rules regarding players between sixteen to eighteen years of age, hence gave it a mandate to regularize everything within next ninety days. Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu openly says they will not accept the indictment ab initio and do everything they can to safeguard their own national interests. Calling the verdict as an injustice to them, the Spanish entrepreneur said, “The La Masia system (Barcelona training facility) is something not to be touched. It won’t be changed and we will fight this unjust attack on a model which has been a huge success over the last three decades.
“For a while now someone wants to damage Barcelona. We are investigating where the anonymous complaint came from. Barça have done nothing wrong, we just looked for talent. I cannot say the suspicions point to one club or another.
“It is hurting Barcelona. We have to show we have done nothing wrong. We have tried to be as transparent as possible, explain what has happened and let people know the truth and that the accusations are false.”
