A formal gathering to pay homage to Barca’s lovely Head Coach

The whole Barcelona team finally paid their homage to former head coach Tito Vilanova after his formal funeral on Monday night. It was a thoroughly emotional gathering attended by each notable of Spanish soccer and each of them looked highly centric towards the one of the greatest loss their team has seen in recent time. Whole team and top officials gathered in Barcelona Cathedral to pray for a better afterlife for their former coach. Vilanova left his wife and two children: son Adria and daughter Carlota and they all were also presented in the assembly. Apart from family and close relatives, Barca’s current president along with former ones also joined the ceremony that was conducted by Lluis Martinez Sistach, Archbishop of Barcelona. During the ceremonial, many delegates offered their formal speech in honor of the Tito and Jordi Roura was one of them who used to be Tito’s assistant during his maiden season at Camp Nou, he said, “Football was always your passion and it accompanied you until the end.”

Team also dedicated their last 3-2 win over Villarreal to their coach and applauded his contribution that raised their moral to sky high. Apart from Spanish, there were many notables from across Europe including English Premier League’s Txiki Begiristain, Manchester City’s director of football, who has served the La Liga defenders as manager from 2003 to 2010. In Fact, UEFA has also announced to pay respect to Tito via a minute’s silence just before both Champions League semifinals that would take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Barca midfielder, Xavi, who has played under Tito, said over club’s website that “This was one of the most difficult days to playWe felt it in our bodies. We’ve lost a leader. He will always be an example. We relied on our pride and grit to win this game. We dedicate it to Tito.”

The 46-year-old manager died last Friday; he was suffering from throat cancer for last two years. He has had two surgeries in the US along with several sessions of chemotherapy but nothing could work in his favor and he took his last breath in the hospital. Reportedly, he was feeling uncomfortable one day before and instantly taken to the nearby hospital where doctors advised an immediate surgery. Social media is filled with his condolence massages making his demise news trending across the social platforms.
