Last Manchester City vs Everton clash could have been a jubilant affair for Manuel Pellegrini side coz they not only crushed their last tough rival in the tourney by 3-2, but also gained the top leaderboard position – something that they had been missing for quite some time now, actually they were trailing by other teams just because they played lesser number of games to others. The good news always comes with some bad traits and this is something that seems to be happened with Argentinean forward Sergio Aguero who sustained an injury in last showdown. He had to leave the field for his thigh problem in the first half and media since raising speculations whether he would be fit for next games or not. But good news is, he has nulled all these rumors and said his injury is not serious as it looked apparently, hence he would be fit by the next game with West Ham. Though, his medical reports do not say anything about his fast recovery, but close sources have said he is recovering faster and feeling no problem while running, yet personal doctors have advised him for some rest so his thigh muscles could back on track easily.
Actually, his injury was not a serious apparently that could require his ousted from the ground, but manager took the decision precautionary to safeguard his prime asset for the upcoming games which would be as important as any league game could be. Apart from that, by the time he left the ground, he had already marked his name on the scorecard; hence Chilean manager did right to send him back in the dressing room for a detailed checkup of the severity of his injury. Later, Aguero talked his fans and informed about his injury via his official Tweeter account, he said, “Thank you for your concern. I left just as a precaution. Fortunately I’m fine, happy for the goal, the win and keeping our dream alive.”
As far Pellegrini is concerned, he is unsure whether his injury is serious enough, hence is waiting for doctors official confirmation, he said, “Hopefully we will know tomorrow after the doctor has examined him. It is a muscle problem but I don’t know exactly where it is. He came to me to tell me he was feeling some strange thing in his leg but he would try to continue playing as much as he could and he scored a very important goal for the team.”
