Mario Balotelli looks like to be the eye candy for racialists and that is why he is subjected to racial remarks again and again. If we look at the career graph of this aggressive Italian forward, he has been more famous for his conducts outside the grounds than whatever he did for his former and current club AC Milan. Most of the time, he is found stuck with a controversy and even his fans suspect him for doing something wrong. But in any case, discrimination of any kind can never be supported at least in soccer, therefore when he was abused on his color at Italian Football Association’s training center during training for national side Italian media highlighted the manhandle behavior prominently in the headlines. Like always, Balotelli’s critics take it as his another attempt to grasp the media headlines, but there are others who supported his valid complaint against an intolerable behavior during or after the training. However, most of the fans who were watching the training supported 23-year-old, but there was one fan who raised discriminating chants against the Milan forward and then moved out of the place. Balotelli ‘wisely’ not only ignored the chants but also did not react to play down fan’s intension to demotivate him.
Later, he got the support not only from Milan coach but also from President of the FIGC Giancarlo Abete, who said, “It is absolutely unacceptable behaviour by individuals who should not exist, but sadly we have to accept they are there. The important thing is that they are a minority.” FIGC aos issued a sttsment saying, “Some boys surrounding the field made some offensive chants towards Mario Balotelli and one of them pronounced a racial insult.”
Actually, Balotelli has ever been in the target list of Italian fans and faced similar chants on several occasions in the past with a motive to disturb him to perform well in the games, but on the contrary, he has been a good player ever since he switched from England to hometown. Anyways, heat is on at the moment for the upcoming world cup in Brazil and every participant is gearing up to offer best of what it has and Balotelli is undoubtedly a man in form who can make a change in Italian performance in Brazil. Let’s hope these tiny distracting incidents would not affect his moral and he will remain focused on the form – nothing else!
