Ferdinand still annoyed with Terry yet agrees to play with him if national coach calls

September 15, 2014 by 888Scoreonline

If we look at some of infamous incidents of racial abuses during a game, John Terry scores high for his verbal abuse towards Rio Ferdinand during a premiere league game back in November 2011, in fact, the incident led to countless debates over how we can eradicate the racism from the game but still this devil persists where it has always been. There is no one on the top who serious worries about the drastic situation third world players pass through whenever they are in England or Europe, yet neither FIFA nor UEFA has until took any concrete step to stop this menace. Rio Ferdinand, the 35-year-old QPR defender, has now talked about the 2011 incident with more details and expressed why he hates Terry so much. He highlighted the incident prominently in his autobiography and explained the surroundings when former Blues captain had to bark over him.

Though, premier league disciplinary committee banned the Chelsea defender for four matches, but he never apologized for his inhuman act for a player. Calling him the biggest idiot of the game, grown center back said, “For me, the biggest idiot will always be John Terry. As England captain and my centre-back partner, he could have saved everyone a lot of pain by admitting immediately that he had used the words in the heat of the moment but was no racist.

“I think that’s probably what happened and what the truth is. Anton and I would’ve accepted that — instead, he never gave us the chance. I’ve never actually spoken to John about the case. I no longer talk to him, but even three years later I find it impossible to forgive or forget the pain he put my family through.”

Anton, his brother, has as well encountered similar abuses by Terry hence ever more furious with the former Englishman and added, “We weren’t best mates, but we were football buddies. Yet he just sat there and watched as my brother went through all that because of his stupidity. That was the betrayal. He tried to run away from what he’d done.”

Like a professional, Ferdinand still wants to play with his unpleasant friend if national team calls him alongside Terry, and said, “Strange as it might sound, I would’ve been happy to play for England alongside him. I’ve played with people I didn’t like for years. There were some at Manchester United I wouldn’t go for a drink with, call or text, but I played with them.”
