Manchester United has ever been one of most happening clubs that excites anyone to join it, and it holds true not only for aspiring players but coaches and managers as well who always use their networking to have a chance to lead the league giant even though if they require to deliver more than one hundred percent. German powerhouse Bayern Munich’s manager has disclosed some insides about his interest into the league side in his book titled: “Pep Confidential: The Inside Story of Pep Guardiola’s First Season at Bayern Munich.” Although, almost everyone who writes any book either during or after his career deliberately includes some fireworks to make it a hot seller hence no one seems to be seriously taking what Guardiola has said in the book. He wrote in the book that he would like to lead The Red Devils if gets a chance ever in his career. His remarks would have gone by without any notice but this time when United’s new manager is struggling to survive in the pressing situations, this revelation can easily be linked to his indirect proposal to join Sir Alex Ferguson’s former baby.
Although, whatever he has said in the book is belonged to 2011, yet everyone understands why he added something that happened three years back and holds true even today. His relations with Louis van Gaal are world known as Gaal has mentored him at Nou Camp when he was a player. After Gaal leaving the Barca job, Guardiola led the Spanish giant, and during 2013-14 season, he revealed to have met with Ferguson after resigning from Blaugrana job. Apparently, it was this meeting when Alex told him about his desire to leave the side. Describing the whole incident, Marti Perarnau, the author of the book, mentions, “It was May 4, and the pair sat together in the stands of Old Trafford watching Sir Alex Ferguson’s team beat Schalke 4-1. Pep turned to his friend and said: I like this atmosphere. I could see myself coaching here one day.’
“Guardiola has always felt a deep admiration, almost veneration, for the legendary teams and players of Europe. During his sabbatical year in New York, the job offers poured in,” he wrote. “His ex-colleague, Txiki Begiristain, the director of football at Manchester City, was very insistent. He also met up in Paris with Roman Abramovich, who was prepared to do anything to lure Pep to Chelsea.”
