Every player who has been a popular one playing for any side expects to have a leading role for the side and if it does not happen, he starts taking it otherwise and lambastes the manager blaming his partiality towards other players. Former Barcelona player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one such player who has never had a pleasing experience playing under former Barca boss Pep Guardiola and they used to come into the headlines not for good reasons. Now, when 34-year-old Swedish forward is all set to debut for Manchester United, Pep Guardiola is as well going to move to Manchester City and they both are likely to clash in the EPL. And, like always, Ibrahimovic’s agent has recalled the bitter relationship they both used to enjoy in and out of the field and he confidently promises to take revenge from their former mentor who could never be fair with his master. Mino Raiola, who is the agent of Ibrahimovic, talks about the cold rivalry among the two in his recent interview, where he revealed Ibrahimovic’s serious annoyance over Guardiola behavior mentoring him at Camp Nou.
Actually, this is not the only case of its kind, it happens with every player who is not given his favorite role and this is exactly what seems to have happened with the forward as well and striker reportedly blamed Guardiola of misusing his talents calling him ‘a coward, and said, ‘he had a “Ferrari” but was “driving it like a Fiat.’ Talking about the upcoming faceoff between them when both of them will fight for the English Premiere League in the next English season, Raiola said: “I think he wants revenge on Guardiola, although he does not live for it because you shouldn’t have two graves — one for him and one for the enemy. It seems destiny wants to see that meeting take place. One option is to go to the Premier League, but for as long as Sweden continue in the Euros there will be no solution.
“You learn more from defeats than you do from victories, and Zlatan learned a lot from what happened with Guardiola.”
Although, he admits, Ibrahimovic did never criticize him as a coach but as far a human being is concerned, he almost hates him. Looking at the heated arguments from player’s side, upcoming English season, especially games when both Manchester giants will be up against each other, is going to be super exciting, so wait and watch for the golden moments!
