Cristiano Ronaldo is back, perhaps back with a bang! Real Madrid lost two matches in a row, and finally saw the magic of its star striker Ronaldo who scored two fantastic goals in quick succession to crown a much needed win to his club. With this win, Madrid has improved its position in the leaderboard, yet well behind top positioned Barcelona. Both of his goals came in 68th and 70th minute of the game. Despite a powerful performance in the match, Ronaldo faced many criticisms coz of his inconsistence performances which is a little heart breaker for the striker. Expressing his woe on the mixed feedbacks, he said, “Not even God can please everyone. I always try to be a good person who the majority of people like. But showing too much humility is a flaw. People either hate me or love me. I always try and work hard in order to be the best at what I do. In my opinion, everybody should have the objective to be the best at what they do, regardless of his or her profession.”
Anyways, life is always entertaining for him; hence he is celebrating his successful 2012 with a new trend, i.e., by launching a new range of sport shoes bearing his lucky numbers on them. Notably, these numbers are stitched on these shoes – not printed, and Ronaldo will randomly choose 100 lucky fans to wear these limited edition Ronaldo shoes. This is like shouting and cheering own success which seems to be little surprising for many, but this is the way to live the life for Ronaldo. The numbers these shoes will have stitched on them are: 1, 9, 14, 19, 27, 55, and 60, and each of these numbers has significant meaning for Ronaldo in 2012 and that is why his new stunt is getting rave response from all over the world. Explaining about his choice of numbers, he said, “Last season was a very special one for me, helping my team and country achieve success. It’s great to celebrate these achievements and also have a great pair of boots to recognise the moment. I’ll enjoy playing in them for sure.”
The first number is ‘1’ which indicates his first La Liga title for Madrid, and next two numbers are his number of matches for his nation Portugal along with his scored goals in them. Similarly, 19 is the record breaking number of opponents Ronaldo has scored against, and next 27 is his age. Last two numbers are his score tally along with number of matches he played last year. So, Ronaldo again made his presence felt ahead of Ballon d’Or announcement!
