Danish Footballer: Daniel Agger out busted all the rumors and extends his running contract with Liverpool that will stick him at Anfield for another two years, However, Liverpool has not confirmed any details about the term of such extension but as per the sources, this extension is for two years. Agger plays as a defender for Liverpool alongwith Danish National Football team, and his unique skills to read the game made him a known and prime defender for Liverpool. Notably, he was in conversation with Barcelona and Manchester City during last summer transfer window, and even he was keen to join Barcelona specifically. He, once said, “It would make it very difficult for me to stay at Anfield.” Moreover, he was in demand more recently, coz other clubs like Napoli and Real Madrid have also showed interest in him. But, the 27 years old master defender put all the speculations on hold and finally singed a new deal to extend his earlier contract with The Reds.
Behind the stage news is; he only agreed to sign this deal after Liverpool agreed on his demands, otherwise he would have been with his other interest, i.e., Barcelona FC. Though, he publically kept insisting on his desire to stay at Anfield. During last summer transfer window, when he was in talk with other clubs for his probable transfer, his knuckle tattoo bearing YNWA could have been a problem for him, if he would have joined Manchester City or Barcelona. But now, his tattoo will go in hand with his afresh deal with Liverpool. On signing the contract Agger said, “It means everything to me. This is where I want to be and I’m happy the club want me. I am really happy right now. I’ve never wanted to go anywhere else.”
