Nothing can beat the masterminds of soccer and these brilliant game experts are with every club, especially in the English Premium League. Last few months have been instable for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez coz he has long been hinting his desire to leave the club but neither his club nor club fans were willing to let him go and that is why wherever any of his aspirants came forward and placed a bid for him, club bashed him out. Among others, Arsenal’s two bids to seek Suarez were in the news for quite some time especially their second bid where they smartly raised just one pound to trigger a contract clause, but even that did not work for them. Club officials, including manager, were long being denied to release their star player despite player’s own assertion that he would not like to play next league season at Anfield. There were also some stories in the media off late which said Suarez had been promised to let him go should Liverpool fail to qualify for the Champion League, though there is no authenticity of the story.
Now, something is being happened no one expected, i.e., Suarez decides to stay with The Reds and the reason he tells is the fans’ support which he can’t ignore. Don’t know how suddenly he started taking care of club’s fans sidelining his recent harsh statements about the club? Anyway, this is what we called soccer, peoples change their mind overnight over here, and this is a perfect example how matters are resolved in the backward. Reportedly, Liverpool convinced the striker on undisclosed terms and whatever he is saying in the media are just typical words to satisfy fans.
He said in a Uruguayan newspaper, “For now, owing to all the affection of the people, I would be staying. Last year I had the opportunity to move to a big European club and I stayed on the understanding that if we failed to qualify for the Champions League the following season I’d be allowed to go.
“I gave absolutely everything last season but it was not enough to give us a top-four finish – now all I want is for Liverpool to honor our agreement. I don’t feel betrayed but the club promised me something a year ago just as I promised them that I would stay and try everything possible to get us into the Champions League. They gave me their word a year ago and now I want them to honor that. And it is not just something verbal with the coach but something that is written in the contract. I’m not going to another club to hurt Liverpool.”
