Ever since Louis van Gaal has joined the Manchester United, he has been center of attraction for both good and bad reasons. Many have been calling him an autocratic person who just wants to implement his words without any consultation with other seniors while his supporters are advocating all the steps taken by the Dutchman for the result he has until delivered. Angel Di Maria departure from Red Devils to Paris Saint-Germain is still fresh in the memory of the fans and everyone had until been assuming that it was his bad form playing for Manchester giant that led Van Gaal release him for some £59.7 million. But for the first time, Maria has talked about reasons he left the English giant for. The 27-year-old Argentine solemnly lambasted Dutchman for his departure from the side and blames his philosophy as the primary reason he decided to leave the side.
If we look at the major changes Van gaal brought into the side, most prominent one was his field placements that include some major changes to the players who have ever played on different roles including captain Rooney who also failed initially in the new role as forced by the boss. Di Maria categorically cited it was his changed placement that did not let him play with his full caliber. He also added, he only decided to join the Laurent Blanc side after he promised he will be used in his favorite role. What Di Maria said talking about Van Gaal, is, “Van Gaal has his philosophy and one of the things that made me want to leave is that. It is difficult to adapt to Van Gaal. I had a couple of rows with him. I started well and after that I got injured. Things didn’t go well for me and Van Gaal changed my position. I spoke with Blanc and his thinking was that I’d play in a similar position to where I did at Real Madrid.”
He may be correct with his views on what is happening at Manchester and fans would surely like to take a note on his comments and compare United show in the upcoming games. In the meantime, if we look at how Argentine is playing for his new side, he made an impressive start of his PSG career on Sunday and said, “I didn’t imagine a reception like this. It was the most beautiful presentation I have ever had. The truth is that I’m happy to come to PSG and to have teammates like Lavezzi and Pastore.”
