Antonio Conte signs his first player Michy Batshuayi for Chelsea

July 5, 2016 by 888Scoreonline

Even though Italy could not overcome Germany in the Euro quarterfinal and everyone eyes over the manager Antonio Conte for his failure to do anything impressive during his two years stint leading the Italian side, 46-year-old seems to be focused on his career leading English side Chelsea hence he is willing to bring young players one after another. Accordingly, Stamford Bridge club has completed the formalities to bring Belgium international striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille into its den ahead of the next English season. This switch is being taken as a part of much comprehensive strategy, Conte has planned for his English career and looking at the current developments in the Chelsea dressing room, it looks highly possible that Batshuayi is going to be a plus point for them in the season ahead. Since the latest deal is for five years term and salary involved therein is also big enough for the Belgium player to keep him motivated playing for the new side, yet the psychological pressure is building high on other players morale hence Conte is only focusing over the upcoming English season after missing the Euro semifinal space.

Like every young player who moves to a big English side during his young age, Batshuayi, 22, shared his excitement on the club website, he said, “I am delighted to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe and embark on the next chapter in my career. I hope I can help Chelsea win many trophies during my time at Stamford Bridge. Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have told me many good things about the club, and with Antonio Conte coming in it’s an exciting time to become a Chelsea player.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for myself and my family, I am looking forward to playing in the Premier League next season.”

Knowingly, this is the first signing by the new club boss after being appointed as the Blue manager back in April, and for that reason, it has to be special one and righty so North Londoners expect Conte to prove he can lead the side longer than enough. As far Batshuayi is concerned, he has had a brilliant form playing for Marseille with as many as 17 goals in Ligue 1 last year. Talking about his future and if he would be successful playing for a new side, Batshuayi added, “I hope I can keep making you proud with my new club, and will continue to follow closely the results of OM. I hope the club can recover the results they deserve.”
