Asamoah Gyan: Life after His Mother’s Demise

Asamoah Gyan

Al-Ain striker and Black stars captain: Asamoah Gyan has had a bad news last week when his mother died after a road accident. She reportedly had his car crashed on a wall nearby Ghana National Association of Teachers Hall. She died immediately though it was confirmed later when she was taken to a nearby hospital. Asamoah Gyan is a popular soccer personality in African nations along with other parts of the world, especially in France where he used to play. This news spread in the whole world like a fire, and whole community gave its condolences to this gloomy departure of a star’s mother. Though, it was a major blow for the Ghana national team’s captain, yet he promised to give his 100% despite his personal life’s ups and downs. He said after the death, “Life is full of ups and downs; you don’t always get what you want. I planned celebrating her birthday with her today but it is unfortunate we didn’t meet her. We want to wish her happy birthday wherever she is. I am close to my mum, but I’m focusing on my career. I even played yesterday and scored a brace; that should tell you how mentally strong I am. I will play the forthcoming Nations Cup for my mum.”

At the moment, Black stars’ captain is focusing on next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, and according to sources nearby him, he has quite recovered and now focusing on his future life where he wants to give his true condolence by performing virtuous on the field. Yesterday was his mother’s 61st birthday, and now she would have been celebrating her birthday along with God!

Nonetheless, what he said about his state of mind, it is true that his personal emotions will be reflected through his performance. Ghana has to play an international friendlier with Cape Verde on coming Tuesday, but Gyan will not be a part it for obvious reasons. His last match’s performance tells a lot about how soon he is willing to recuperate from his personal blow; he fired two goals in that match. He arrived at Accra on Friday morning with his brothers and close friends to mourn last week’s big blow with family members. Perhaps, whole family is motivating him to concentrate on his career coz that would be an ideal way to say, “Good Bye MOM!”
