It is generally believed that any manager who has served a big side during his career would have been the top performer mentoring the side that is why he often recalls his memories leading the top notch sides he has served in the past whenever he is asked to in future. But many times it is not so no matter how successful he has been leading the big sides, it is the respect he earned that empowers him to recalls his glorious time he spent with the side. Manchester United current manager José Mourinho is one such manager who has served several top notching sides during his fruitful career filled with tons of titles from around the world. But did he as well earn the respect is a much bigger question and those who know him don’t agree that he has been an equally respected mentor on any of his assignments thanks to his outspoken behavior that used to bring him into the headlines for wrong reasons. Among the top sides he has served in the past, Real Madrid is on the top where he spent … [Read more...]
Guardiola defeats Mourinho in the first all Manchester showdown by 2-1
The first mega showdown between the two English premier league heavyweights ended with an interesting result when visiting Manchester City defeated Manchester United with a 2-1 margin last night. It was rather a major setback for United boss José Mourinho who could not justify his mega million investment over players in just concluded transfer window, in fact, City was in control right from the first moment of the game and they kept their dominance for forty long minutes and scored two goals powered by beautifully strikes from Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho until Wayne Rooney’s free kick was pounced by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and scored only goal for the Red Devils. City boss Pep Guardiola seems to have been highly impressed with the performance of his side especially that of goalie Claudio Bravo, who brilliantly stopped several United shots to keep their lead secure in the second half when hosts were firing. Like always, United boss Jose Mourinho feels his side should have … [Read more...]
Mourinho refuses to weigh managers, call Manchester derby a players’ game
There have been arch rivals everywhere - in every game - including soccer hence whenever two of them are facing each other at any platform, it becomes one of the biggest ties of the season and this is something that seems to be happening with Manchester derby to be played today evening at Old Trafford. This game is actually important for two reasons: the traditional arch rivalry between Manchester United and Manchester City and the age old rivalry between their managers Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola who have shared similar faceoff leading other two giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. For the same reasons everyone in English Premiere league is eagerly waiting to see how they deploy their army of world class players in the field to dominate each other. Looking at the so much hype over the managerial rivalry than the game, Mourinho refuses to accept that game is anything about his old clashes with Pep, perhaps he says it is the players who are important not the mentors who will guide … [Read more...]

English soccer has ever been the most famous for mind games ahead of every crucial game and upcoming all Manchester faceoff has already created a buzz in soccer fraternity. While everyone has his own favorite for the game, United is obviously has an upper hand for the high ranking star line in its side especially after arrival of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Taking the moment as the best opportunity to motivate own favorites and distract the opponent focus, Mino Raiola, who is the agent of both high profile newcomers to the Old Trafford side, is obviously the one who likes United to win the game. Hence he is as well looking Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to lose his focus out of the game by issuing a strong statement about the Spanish boss. He says he doesn’t like him neither as manager nor as human being, perhaps, he did not use the word hate citing it is a strong word for a football coach. Actually, this could be his personnel opinion but revealing it just ahead of … [Read more...]
