Newly promoted league club Crystal Palace who joined the English topflight just recently, and guess what, it has started showing the vibes of being a league club by asking its manager Ian Holloway to leave the club –though with mutual consent. The reason being told is, as expected, their no so wanted performance in the current session where they are just second to the bottom; in fact, they lost seven of their first eight games in the Premiere league. This is not the first time to see a firing treatment given to a manager as we have seen in the past how top clubs thrown their top officials out for not delivering the results. The news of his ousted was announced in a hurriedly called press conference in central London on Wednesday; club Chairman Steve Parish joined the press meet and informed about their secretly made arrangements with 50-year-old former manager though without mentioning the exact reason for his departure. What he added in his statement is, “Ian's contract at Crystal … [Read more...]
Toure calls black players to boycott 2018 World Cup
The matter of white and black is not new in soccer; perhaps it is as old as the game itself is, and when we talk about one of most racism regions for color difference, its South Africa to be named first. We have seen this nation suffered so much coz of its white biased culture and the same State is the host of FIFA’s 2018 world cup which is the biggest soccer event involving entire world to be precise. When the biggest event of a highly emotional game comes to another sentimental State, as far color of players is concerned, it doubts everyone whether event can smoothly be completed or not. Take example of a recent Champions league match between Manchester City and Russian club CSKA Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, though City won the match by 2-1 comfortably, but its midfielder Yaya Toure faced the heat of what the ground reality in Russia is. He was perhaps the prime target of monkey chant echoed throughout the stadium during the game, in fact, he was so disappointed with the … [Read more...]
Jose satisfies with performance in Champions League
Chelsea has surely become more promising ever since their former Jose Mourinho has joined them, and this visible change continues on their European tour as well. Though, their start was not so appealing, but they somehow manage to come back in form and topped the Group E which also ensures they will qualify for the knockout stage – something that looked to be a distanced dream initially. How confident they are growing is obvious with their commanding 3-0 victory over Schalke in the Champions league. Jose admires his team’s confident comeback after a dismissible 2-1 loss to Basel at Stamford Bridge which had sunned their chances to advance to second stage, but now, 50-year-old Portuguese is jubilant by looking Blues run in EPL as well in CL. How he could do that? Or what the magic words he used to rejuvenate his team? Actually, he did nothing but shown the real picture to teammates and asked them how we should reverse the things. He revealed the cult words he said to his team after … [Read more...]
