Racism has many shapes and faces which is again proved by a joke cracked by England coach Roy Hodgson in a halftime talk show during a recent world cup qualifier. Though, he apologized after that, but anti racial campaigners look in no mood to let him go so easily; perhaps they are accusing him of using the selected words at a right time to gain the maximum impact. The incident put a small dent on English qualification for the Brazil world cup, but anyways, Englishmen finally started being in the news by their conducts outside the field. Apart from manager, English players are also defending him using a social platform which proves everything, eventually, becomes fine if you are winning on the ground, coz no action has until been initiated by the disciplinary task force. Actually, Tuesday was the DDay for England when they defeated Poland to finally enter into the 2014 FIFA world cup. Hodgson tried to interpret his statement by calling it just an attempt to criticize players’ pass the … [Read more...]

Chelsea, the original signee of the forward, filed a claim and demanded compensation from Italian clubs who later signed Mutu, and finally rewarded a reimbursement with interest. But, both clubs moved to FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber and asked to waive off the sanction issued against them. Actually, there is a big protest running throughout Brazil against the rising WC expenditure at the cost of their day to day necessities, in fact, many taxes have been imposed just to fund the setup bills despite Government’s earlier promise not to burden general public for FIFA cup’s expending. Fearing a similar protest, South Africa has cut down its budget considerably isolating organizers to nowhere. Actually, a dent on construction budget has been put on by Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development who restricted the projected spend in almost seven World Cup areas from $442 million per unit to $386 million per unit saving $389 million … [Read more...]
