EPL club Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov feels like a survivor after being diagnosed with leukemia, a rare disease that affects white blood cells which are responsible for strength in our immune system. He is not the first one in contemporary soccer to be identified with such a kind of disease; earlier Barcelona head coach has also been diagnosed with throat cancer for which he is still going treatment after two surgeries in last two years. Leukemia is also considered a kind of cancer which can be cured if treated properly, though it also depends upon the age of the person affected. FA Cup final to kick off at 5.15pm
VS. A live telecast generates higher revenue than live spectators, this is known to everyone, but this is probably the first time when FA has rescheduled a final match just to facilitate its broadcasters rather caring about thousands of fans who want to return home on the same day. FA cup final is scheduled to play between first timer Wigan and Manchester City and this match is expected to be full of entertainment coz of Wigan, who is in fine form, and City, who is also looking to win its second trophy in last three seasons. Newcastle urges life ban for fans responsible for violence
Soccer is only a game of sport, but for many it is much more than mare a sport, and that is why soccer fans across the world found losing control whenever their teams lose an important match. We have seen many cases of desperate retaliations from crowd, including few which were very serious and a threat to internal homeland security. Recently, Newcastle fans showed their aggression which resulted in a massive violence in the ground. This violence was perhaps not the first last week, coz Millwall fans also displayed how short tempered they are when it comes to accepting a defeat. ManU, seven points away from EPL title
There is no doubt with the fact that Manchester United has performed brilliantly this season and that is why they have been on the top of the leaderboard most of the time this season. Now Newcastle Fans retaliated with violence after defeat
In less than 24 hours, English shows another example of how short tempered their fans can be when it comes to accepting a defeat. Yesterday, Millwall fans displayed their aggression on the ground after being defeated by Wigan at Wembley, today, it was the turn of Newcastle fans to show how desperate they were to win a game that was eventually won by Sunderland with a comprehensive 3-0 margin. The defeat brought Newcastle into the relegation cap at EPL while Sunderland’s first triumph in thirteen years at St James' Park gave them a chance to survive at the league. The victory is more a result of hard work done by manager Paolo Di Canio who revived the team to show what they can actually achieve. Now, Sunderland has a clear three points lead from relegation cap and they have five more matches to go, so they are likely to end this season with a better position in the leaderboard.
