Manchester United is among the most looked after soccer clubs in the world, and rightly so each of its contracted players wants to retire from Old Trafford despite of his skill and aptitude to fit in one of the most talented football teams. Irish 25-year-old defender Jonny Evans, who has been with ManU since last 18 months, is keen to further extend his contract for Sir Alex Ferguson; he is looking for a term that could make him an abiding ManU player. However, his earlier spell of 18 months has already been extended for another three and a half years in December, yet he looks forward for another term for the premier league club. Ten-man Ethiopia restrict Zambia in their AFCON inauguration match

It was an eventful match where most of the actions went against of Ethiopia who was playing their first AFCON match after a gap of 31 years, yet they manage to restrict defending champion Zambia to a 1-1 draw. With this match, all Group C teams have played their first match, and more interestingly, each of them has an equal number of points. Overall, the performance of Ethiopia was much better than expected winner considering the loss of their goalie after he was red carded for a wild chest-high tackle. Moreover, Addis Ababa club also missed a penalty midway when Saladin Seid’s impeded shot was gleefully punched back by Zambia goalie Mweene depriving Ethiopia one goal. Generally, a soccer club starts ignoring its disputed player when it wants to get rid of him, reason could be anyone; may there be a salary dispute or a disciplinary action but ignorance is the best practice being followed by every contemporary club these days. This is exactly what happened to Dutch national team captain Wesley Sneijder, who was missing the field since last two months despite his fitness and form, the reason, there was a contract dispute. Apparently, his club Inter Milan asked the footballer to accept a salary cut if he wants to play for the club, something which can never be in favor of a prestigious player. Hence, Sneijder refused to do so and faced the penalty by not playing for the club since 25 September.
