Pato Left AC Milan for a €15m Corinthians’ deal

Brazilian professional footballer Alexandre Pato, who used to play for Serie A club AC Milan, has agreed to make a shift to his native Brazilian club Corinthians for a €15m price tag. Despite his recurrent injuries and almost absence from the field in last 12 months, Brazilian could finally manage to seal a deal for his homeland club. The deal, which is reportedly signed on Thursday night, is for 100% stake in the player that means, Milan will no longer have any share out of player’s market value. Both the clubs issued their statements post agreement: Corinthians said in its statement, “Corinthinans have acquired 100% of the right to Alexandre Pato. The player will arrive in the coming day for a medical and sign a four-year contract,” and Milan also issued a statement that reads as, “AC Milan can announce that Alexandre Pato has been sold outright to Sporting Club Corinthians Paulista.” Pato also remembered his jovial memory at Milan and said how he managed to raise his soccer … [Read more...]

Manchester City Agree on Nasri’s Sending Off

January 2, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Manchester City was in the news last weekend for its brilliant performance despite having ten players’ army on the field. City’s striker Nasri was actually shown a red card after his headbutt to Sebastien Bassong, which was considered a violent way to react to an opponent’s challenge. Nasri was sent off during the first half of City’s clash with Norwich last weekend, and despite silently accepting the penalty, City said after the match that they will appeal against three matches’ ban of their French international, but after having a second thought over the issue, City has now decided to forgo the matter altogether, which means, they will not have Nasri in their squad for next three matches. Manager Roberto Mancini has earlier indicated about such a move when he was asked about whether his team will persuade an official appeal. Moreover, another reason for City’s step back looks, if appeal gets rejected, Nasri can even get a ban extension, which would have been another setback for … [Read more...]

Deportivo sack coach Oltra after miserable league performance

January 1, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Another club with another coach, but rules of the game are same, i.e., fire non performing players and not spare even the coaches. Spanish league club Deportivo La Coruna has given this unwelcomed treatment to its coach Jose Luis Oltra after their miserable performance in the Spanish league. The manager, who joined the club last season, paid the price for letting the club on the bottom with just 12 points in 17 played matches. Despite a good start, north-west club could not maintain what it should have and collected just three points out of its eight matches. With an overnight sacking, Oltra becomes the third coach of Primera Liga to be sacked in this manner. Earlier two other clubs Valencia and Espanyol have fired their coaches Mauricio Pellegrino and Mauricio Pochettino for poor performances of their respective clubs. Club president Augusto Cesar Lendoiro issued a statement post sacking, he said, “We think it's an ideal time to go ahead with such a change.” He also hinted about a … [Read more...]

Chelsea set to sign Newcastle’s Demba Ba

As the English club Chelsea is surging in its position in the EPL’s leaderboard, it is more aggressively showing interest in signing best talent around. Under its hunt for next month’s transfer window, European champion has now targeted Newcastle United striker Demba Ba for a probable transfer deal. If it does what it wants to be, Ba will be the third player Chelsea has shown interest in. The only glitch in the contract is the price tag; Chelsea has offered a £7.5 million along with agents’ fee, but Ba’s representative seems not interested in the amount being offered by the Blues. Reportedly, a meeting was held between Chelsea’s representatives and Ba’s agent but ended without reaching upon an agreement late night. However, both parties show their curiosity to reach a final settlement. When asked about the meeting, Chelsea’s temporary manager Rafa Benitez refused to comment anything as of now. In English Premier League, Chelsea has ended this year with a win over Everton on Sunday, … [Read more...]
