If you are a close follower of English soccer, you would have a known to almost tens of different ways suggested by many legendry soccer officials, ex-players, and clubs to counter racism, but none of them seems to be perfect to English FA, hence they are now trying to introduce a compulsory educational program to be participated by every professional football player, club official, and all foreign players who play in various English leagues. The objective is simple, to make them aware of all the possible effects of using or saying anything not permitted on English soil. Last few months brought English soccer at a place where everyone is presuming that racism cannot be eradicated from the system. While, on the other side, according to many legendry soccer pros, educational system will also not work coz they are not teenagers who don’t know anything; perhaps they are very much professionals who understand the impact of ‘certain words’ in a crucial time. For the time being, compulsory … [Read more...]

Soccer is a game of passion; perhaps it is like any other game where a player is known by his performances. Here too, if a player performs well for, let say, two weeks, he becomes in the limelight and every popular club tries to sign him up. Colombian hotshot, 26-year old Radamel Falcao, has always been known for his lighting striking skills and he keeps proving it every now and then. Last few days were belonged to Barca’s star Messi and his world record, but despite the glory of Messi, Falcao stunned the world by his excellent power play in the match between his club Atletico Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna. Atletico Madrid crushed La Coruna by 6-0 and more importantly, it was Falcao who made the headlines by scoring five goals in a game. Boca Juniors Let Falcioni’s Contract Term Expire
How it feels to be with world’s most popular club is known to everyone, but how does it feel when a big club fires or rather doesn’t renew a contract (which is similar to a fire) can only be understood by one who has felt the awkwardness of being one of them. Julio Cesar Falcioni, coach of one of the most popular Argentinian football clubs: Boca Juniors faced the similar situation where despite the fact that he performed quite well during his tenure of two years and deserved a contract extension, club let his contract expires, which means Daniel Angelici doesn’t want him anymore. It is like a slap on the face for a coach who has proven his performance but since he lacks aggressive style of play, he got the punishment and a ‘conservative’ label on his face. How shunned he was among Boca’s fans was displayed on Saturday when regardless of a 2-1 win over Godoy Cruz, Angelici got dozens of handmade signs suggesting his sacking with immediate effect. Club president was hence forced to … [Read more...]

Soccer is an emotional game of sport, perhaps, it is one of the only sports where fans retaliate using various tricks. Traditionally, on-field arguments were very common to see then came an era where crowd started becoming violent, but after the arrival of technology and fast zooming security cameras such incidents lessened. More interestingly, now, it is not about what happened on the field, it is all about its aftermaths. Take the latest incident that happened on Sunday in a Premier League match between Manchester United and Manchester City; the match was comprehensively won by United, but how a fan from the crowd retaliated is something to better be discussed first. A fan threw a 2p coin on Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand’s face, and unfortunately that coin hit him near his eyes, and he started bleeding immediately. Whole world saw this, but unfortunately, more embarrassing news came later via some Facebook posts between Chelsea’s Ashley Cole family members. Reportedly, … [Read more...]
De Jong is out for rest of the season
Some injuries are worse than what they seem apparently, and exactly this is what happened to Dutch midfielder Nigel De Jong who broke Achilles tendon of his left leg during his club AC Milan’s recent 4-2 victory over Torino. He could not even play the whole match and sidelined right after one goal. Initially, it was not serious, but later when detailed examination was done; it was found how he snapped his Achilles tendon. Expectedly, he would not be available for the Rossoneri for the whole remaining season. The former Manchester City midfielder, who joined AC Milan last summer at £3.5m price tag, has already been a vital strength of Allegri's midfield. In current scenario, it would be a big blow for Allegri to miss him for an entire season. So, he becomes like a star that suddenly appeared for Milan and quickly disappeared too. However, at the moment, everybody is hoping of him to recover even earlier which looks very unlikely at the moment. Milan club vice president Adriano … [Read more...]
