Chelsea is out from Champions League

So, finally, Chelsea has to taste the bitterness of being the first title holder to be ousted in the first round of Champions League. Despite investing millions of dollars on high profile players, and even after sacking a well-known admired soccer coach, The Blues could not survive as the Champions. Just seventh month ago, this was the same team which celebrated its Champions League triumph in most astonishing way, and now the same team is being ogled by the world for their miserable preference in the league. However, the good point of their exist is their 6-1 victory over FC Nordsjaelland which is the first for its new manager Rafa Benitez who was managing his fourth match after ex-manager’s sudden sacking. Goal Line Technology? A Realty – At Last!

So, the countdown has begun for the introduction of new-age technology that is expected to overcome old human based likely errors. While this technology is also in the hit list of humanoid favorites, there is also a section which is eagerly waiting for it to happen. FIFA has confirmed that it will use this technology for the first time in Club World Cup wherein both goal line technology providers’ techniques would be judged for their help in determining when ball actually crosses the goal line. Until now, there are only two providers of this technology, and both of them work on different principles, while GoalRef system uses specially made magnet area around both goal posts, Hawk-Eye system uses additional cameras on both the goal sites to catch each second of a goal with highest resolutions. Dundee Utd Seek SFA Clarification over Rangers Boycott

Yesterday, Rangers called upon a total boycott of Tannadice tie to be played in February, whereby they urge their fans not to attain the clash in a protect over United and other SPL clubs’ verbal opposition on Rangers application to join Scottish Premier League. The protest taken by Rangers is not only a planned protest against some of the SPL clubs, but it has become one of the biggest protests in the history of Scottish league. Perhaps, if such a protest happens, United could face a mass boycott for their William Hill Scottish Cup clash against Dundee United. But, unexpectedly, United has refused to indulge in any war of the words with Ally McCoist's side; however, they want Scottish FA to clarify over the issue. Colombia’s Former Goalie Miguel Calero Died at Age 41

Colombia's former goalie Miguel Calero is confirmed dead after having a stroke last month; he was since in the hospital. The 41-year old star ex-goalkeeper underwent with a brain surgery to relieve from stroke’s effect, but despite repeated attempts to save him, he was declared brain dead by the doctors, however, according to his family’s wish, he continued being on a life support system by the time all his family members get together in Mexico. His club Pachuca, whom he was training these days, informed the world about his death via Facebook. The statement reads as, “Grupo Pachuca deeply regret reporting here that on the day December 4 2012, the biggest symbol of Tuzos, Miguel Angel Calero Rodriguez, has passed away. Miguel Calero was a football player who left his mark on a great era in the history of Club Pachuca. Chelsea Signs Fluminense’s Defender Wallace

Living with its tradition to hire young n promising talent right in their teen age, Chelsea has signed a deal to transfer Brazilian club Fluminense’s highly rated right-back Wallace Oliveira dos Santos. According to the contract, the young starlet will remain with his ex-club until this season, and in January transfer window; he will be shifted to Stamford Bridge. The 18-year old player has been in the notice of many top clubs in last few years, coz of his style of play and his comparison with Real Madrid's Marcelo who was also once associated with the same Brazilian club. Wallace was the part of under-20 Brazilian international that won South American under-17 championship along with securing fourth place at the World Cup in Mexico.
