In a strange quote referring FIFA President Sepp Blatter has said England football is being run by idiots has spread havoc in soccer community. The quote is written in an autobiography by Sebastian Coe who is a well-known personality in soccer, perhaps he is one who ran London Olympics and was the chairman of FIFA’s ethics committee. His latest job was a part of English think tank for its failed bid to host 2018 FIFA world cup. According to him, Blatter has always been a problem in dealing with English officials, perhaps, he once said that English soccer is not being run by bright peoples; peoples who run it are idiots. Now Mark Clattenburg is Accused of Racial Comments to Chelsea’s Players
It’s not far behind when Terry’s case was disposed off by FA with hefty fine and suspension, and now, there another case has opened; this time against referee Mark Clattenburg who reportedly used some abusive racial words against two Chelsea’s players. The incident took place in the last match between Chelsea and Manchester United on Sunday which was won by Man United by 3-2. Chelsea’s teammates also said to have listened Clattenburg calling John Obi Mikel a 'monkey' and another player Juan Mata a ‘Spanish twat.’ The matter heats up immediate as the racial comments have become intolerable after some big abuse cases recently. Txiki Begiristain is the New Sporting Director for Man City
Former Spanish footballer Txiki Begiristain is all set to replace Manchester City’s sporting director Brian Marwood. The high profile appointment was long in waiting, and now it’s clear in public domain that Begiristain will begin his new job at Man City. Brian Marwood will now take over soccer academic and serve his service to train new soccer talent for Man City. Begiristain has played for many clubs in his career including Spain; perhaps he holds as many as 22 caps for Spain along with Deportivo, Barcelona, and Real Sociedad. Cahill is upset with Roberto Di Matteo’s Rotational Policy
Chelsea and England’s central defender Gary Cahill has now said in the public about his dissatisfaction about Chelsea’s manager Di Matteo’s rotational policy to rest some of the top players and rotate other players in place of resting players. However, his biggest concern is about his minimal time spent on the field coz of this rotational policy. Notably, Matteo has recently been rotating three players to make a change in starting lineup, though two of those three players were always in the starting squad. Accordingly, David Luiz, Gary Cahill, and John Terry were rotating one by one, but after Terry’s four matches’ suspension, Luiz and Cahill were supposed to get more exposer this season. Karacan injured his knee much severely than expected; out for six weeks
Reading’s midfielder Jem Karacan sustained a knee injury during a match against Liverpool on 20th this month when he collided with Steven Gerrard. Initially, that injury was not expected to be a harsh one; perhaps everyone was hoping his comeback in less than a week. But Reading luck with injuries is not that bright, coz after Jem Karacan; who is also out for several weeks coz of his injury, Karacan’s injury is also found to be serious in nature that made him unavailable for at least six weeks. With this, Reading’s back luck continues this season coz it is yet to win a match despite its seven played matches till date. Injury’s status comes to know after Karacan went for a scan that showed how badly he got his knee injured.
