Egyptian Football Season is suspended for Security Issues

Egyptian domestic football season has been deferred for an indefinite period by the Egyptian Football Association on Monday. This means, the scheduled Premier League football season would not kick start on its scheduled date, i.e., Wednesday. FA issued a statement on its website and told about its decision, however, they also informed to have requested to Interior Ministry’s approval to continue with the season, but they have yet to receive any reply from the ministry. Notably, 74 fans were killed in a violence that broke out after a premier league match between Ahly and Masry teams at Port Said Stadium. Besides, there were hundreds of injured fans too. No domestic match has since been played in Egyptian domestic premier league this year. Earlier, the news came to postpone the matches until 31st October, but very soon that decision was canceled too. Bakcell is the new broadcasting partner for Manchester United

The men in red have just signed a new deal with Azerbaijan Telecommunication Company: Bakcell for a three years term. During these three years, Bakcell will be the Manchester United’s sole communication partner, perhaps Bakcell is the first broadcasting partner of Manchester United. The Red Devils have announced it on Monday and explained it as a part of their global strategic expansion. This deal is one of the many sponsorship deals signed by Manchester United and first in the telecommunication sector. According to the deal, Bakcell will telecast MUTV channel in Azerbaijan along with offering multiple add-on services related to Manchester United, like its matches highlights, latest news, and interesting facts, etc., on pay per usage basis. Nile Ranger is convicted for assaulting 2 police officers

Newcastle’s forward player, 21 years old Nile Ranger, has been convicted of physically assaulting two police officers by a city court here in Newcastle. He has been given a 12 months conditional discharge along with £750 as compensational amount to each police officer. Conditional discharge means he will not be punished unless he commits another crime during next 12 months’ period. The case happened in 27th August last year in early hours in Newcastle when Ranger has had an argument over an issue with two civilians. He then punched these individuals and fled away. Later, when he was caught by the police, he pushed them too not once but twice that caused these police officers some minor injuries. During the prosecution, his lawyer put a defensive argument that those two individuals were taunting him racially; hence he had to punch them and get away. It has been confirmed by FA that Chelsea’s duo: Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand will not be a part of England’s squad for their next world cup qualifier match against Poland in Warsaw on Tuesday citing their injuries and illness. Earlier, they both have missed the match against San Marino too, but this time, Roy Hodgson was hopeful for their comeback for Poland clash, and unfortunately, this could not happen. Last night, Football Association issued a statement and said, “Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand have been ruled out of England's FIFA World Cup qualifier with Poland. Ghana Qualifies for African Cup of Nations’ Finals

Black Stars of Ghana became the fourth team to quality for the 2013 African Cup of Nations to be held in South Africa in 2013. Ghana beat Malawi by 1-0 at Civo Stadium and secured 3-0 aggregate score to rank itself in the top four qualified teams. Other qualified teams till date are: Nigeria, defending champion Zambia, and Ivory Coast. Among them, Ivory Coast qualified despite their abandoned match against Senegal due to crowd trouble on the ground. Basically, the match between visitors Coast Ivory and hosts Senegal was decided on benefit of doubt given in favor of Coast Ivory after crowd disturbance.
