Welsh international Gareth Bale is the ruling king in contemporary soccer thanks to his record breaking deal with Spanish giant he signed just recently. When he joined Real Madrid, everybody was talking about how this 24-year-old midfielder would face the mounting pressure of performance at The Vikings, especially when he is playing alongside of world’s greats like Cristiano Ronaldo. It is rather a coincident that he suppressed the record being held by Ronaldo since last four years and now he is playing along with the same player, so it is obvious peoples would like to see how he stands with him. But ruling all the rumors out, Bale refuses to accept any pressure playing with La Liga runner ups despite the fact that he could only show his full strength recently when he netted his first hat trick in Spain. Similarly, media has repeatedly been asking him questions how he would differentiate his playing experience with Real than what he had been enjoying with English club Tottenham and he always replied them polity that he feels full of energy playing with his all time favorite star Ronaldo and his team.
Probably, for the first time, he accepted and reveals that he used to be playing under lots of pressure in England than in Spain, and reason he states is presence of world class players in Real squad, while in England, he had to do all the hard work by himself. He explained it in a recent interview given to a news source where he said, “They lead by example. If you ever want to talk to them they’re always there to listen. It’s great to play alongside them because they’re world-class players too.
“At Tottenham I was always trying to get onto the ball and make everything tick, whereas here everybody’s doing that, there are world-class players all around the pitch and you’re able to concentrate just on your game rather than bringing the whole team forward, and I’m enjoying that.”
Though, he regrets missed opportunity he could have enjoyed playing in the preseason, but his injuries led him down. Anyway, now he feels even better and enjoying his life in Spain thoroughly. He added, “It was difficult not having a pre-season, you miss a lot of ball sessions and running and everything. Once I felt I was able to do that physically and mentally, I felt I was able to show what I was able to do.
“I enjoyed my time in England but I also like other styles of football and coming to Spain,” he added. “I’ll learn other types of football, different ways to play and it will make me better as an all-round player, and hopefully it will make me better for my country. If other players did that I’m sure it’d help their games as well.”
