No matter how infamous you have been playing for different clubs, when it comes to serve your national side, only your form matters and this is why Italian forward Mario Balotelli still scores high. This former AC Milan striker has been called by the national selectors for the Euro qualifier – a move no one had expected for the Liverpool player who is finding it hard to recollect his form in England. It is actually the first time he is being named in the Italian squad after Brazil world cup for the 2016 Euro and in between Azzurri has played four international qualifiers already. Anyways, Balotelli is not worried about why he was not called before, in fact, is more than happy to find a place in the national quad despite so many negative stories running across the media about his behavior or outspoken statements in recent days. To concentrate over his international games, he just wants to be remained focus over Euro games rather being reactive to what media says about his selection. He is not the only surprising entry into the national side as Atletico Madrid’s former Torino winger Alessio Cerci is also named among the probables for qualifier against Croatia and then a friendly meeting with Albania.
Actually, Antonio Conte – the manager of Italian squad, seems to be experimenting for the Euro mission with several new faces in the national squad. Along with Balotelli, there are more names in the probable list to be featured in the remaining qualifiers to provide a full featured list of options to the Italian boss during 2016 European event. According to a statement issued on the website, Torino defender Emiliano Moretti, Andrea Bertolacci of Genoa, Roberto Soriano of Sampdoria, and Empoli defender Daniele Rugani could also feature in the Italian meeting with Croatia at San Siro on Nov. 16.
Among all the names being speculated for the next Italian game, Liverpool forward is of course the most headlined player thanks to his performance both in and outside of the field that remains him media’s most liked guy of contemporary soccer!
