If the latest news coming from Miami is to be believed, we could witness one of the most versatile players, former England captain David Beckham, back in the game. Yes, according to the documentary made by the BBC, player hinted he could soon be back in the game after a long halt he passed through after his retirement. Notably, Beckham has been one of the most missed players ever since he ousted himself from the game for fulfilling his hidden desire of owing a MLS franchise which he successfully managed to achieve. He retired last year after playing a short six month spell for German side PSG where he famously donated his wages for a charity and gained lots of appreciation in football fraternity. He then moved to American league MLS and attempted to own a franchise representing Miami region. Knowingly, he would be the first player who is also the owner of a league side; hence if he somehow makes a comeback, the whole world would get to see a magnificent player playing both inside and outside of the ground. The rumors of his return fueled in the BBC documentary titled: “David Beckham: Into The Unknown,” wherein he hinted his desire to play the game again.
He accepted in the short film that whenever he watches players playing basketball etc., he feels jealous watching them fighting to their core for the pride of their sides. Though, he did not say anything confirming he would definitely break his retirement, but hinted he is willing to play again. He apparently said therein, “Now I go to watch a basketball game and, when you are watching athletes play at the top of their game, for me it gives me that itch again and I want to be back in the game then and I start thinking to myself ‘Could I play again? Could I go back? Could I come out of retirement and start playing again?”
When English national team manager Roy Hodgson was asked to comment over his former great’s wish, he replied, he would love to see him play either for his former club or national English side, in any way, none of his fans is ready to accept they could play the game without Beckham if he decides to null the decision he took last year. English manager said, “I don’t’ know, but I’d like to see him if he does.”
