Benzema denies his link-ups with PSG

Karim Benzema

Karim Benzema, the 25-year old Real Madrid striker, could not has a dream run this season where he could only score 14 goals as compared to his last year’s tally of 23 for a similar term. Looking at his poor show of form, Real is reportedly thinking about encashing him and signing another player either Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao or Napoli’s Edinson Cavani as his replacement. Actually, a news flashed last year that said, PSG has offered around 30 million for Benzema, but that time, Madrid did not respond to their offers, but this season, they are seriously looking for his replacement; hence French international could be discharged on loan to PSG. On the other side, Benzema agent is denying these rumors at the moment, He said to a newspaper recently that “At no point has Karim wanted to leave for PSG, and the Parisian team have never been in contact with us. Benzema is at Madrid, the best team in the world. Madrid could be coming into an era where they will dominate Europe. This is not the moment to leave the team. Whether Mourinho leaves or not, Benzema will stay at Madrid.”

Benzema joined Madrid back in 2009 at a hefty €35 million price tag. During his four year stay at Ciudad; he has ever been a favorite player for President Florentino Perez. However, his relations with coach could not be so smooth during this period; perhaps he once compared coach with a cat; hence he always had a cold war like situation with the coach.

Anyways, besides his transfer link-ups, Karim Benzema is also in the news for his 18000 euros overdriving fine along with a driving ban for next eight months these days. He was caught driving at a speed of more than 194.4 kilometers per hour in the early hours on Sunday while allowed speed is just 80 kilometers per hour. A local court held him responsible for overdriving and imposed said fine on him. Court also issued a statement that reads as, “The Court of First Instance has today found Real Madrid player Karim Benzema guilty in a case held at 10.00 hours this morning with the punishment of a daily fine of 150 euros for eight months and the removal of his driving licence for eight months and one day.”

“The day of the 26th had been put in place for the trial to take place. However, it became clear after the fixing of that date that this coincided with the date of the game between France and Spain. Therefore, the prosecutor and Benzema’s lawyer looked for a date that would suit both parties and that has been this morning,” it further added.
