Brazil shocking ousted from the world cup

July 10, 2014 by 888Scoreonline

When the whole world was busy discussing lost striking power Neymar in Brazilian team after the quarterfinal, their defense actually led them down in the semi and this South American team conceived as many as seven goals – highest in the world cup, with just one counter one in the first semifinal of 2014 world cup. The match has become historic with many feats – though painful for the Brazilians, like highest goal difference in a match, worst ever defeat for Brazil among others. Actually, Germans took the control of the game right from the beginning and never allowed their South American rivals to come even close to their lead. Neymar, the over highlighted player of the last three days, went unnoticed with the severe lapses in the defensive area. Experts are calling it the wickedest day in Brazil history especially in the world cup games while their biggest loss difference had until been just two goals that too in the world cup final. Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is blaming himself for the tarnishing loss at home and could offer his resignation in upcoming days.

The most lethal period of the game was first half an hour when Germans struck five goals in quick succession including four goals in just seven minutes. Game was almost over in first thirty minutes itself, though fans kept their fingers crossed to see if their team can still make the history after trailing with a big lead. But, nothing could save them facing most humiliating loss in front of their home crowd. Scolari, who played an important role in picking final eleven for the match, took the responsibility and said, “The catastrophic result can be shared with the whole group, but the choice and who decided the tactical lineup — I did. The person who is responsible is me.

“My message is for the Brazilian people that we tried to do what we could do,” He said. “We did what we think was our best and we lost to a great team who in six or seven minutes, ended the game in an extraordinary manner.

“I’m sorry that we were not able to get to the final and we will continue to honour what our team is and fight for third place.”

Earlier, FIFA ruled out Brazilian FA appeal to allow their captain Thiago Silva for the game who had been facing the ban for two yellow cards. David Luiz, the captain for the match, was seen crying while leaving the field and later said, “I am sorry we couldn’t give the fans happiness. We didn’t get it and I ask all of Brazil to forgive me. I only wanted to see all of Brazil smile. This was the most important match of my life.”
