Since American soccer player and Tottenham Hotspur’s goalkeeper: Brad Friedel has crossed his 41 years of age; he is apparently thinking of his retirement. If rumors are to be believed, this premier league session will be the last for him. Notably, the star goalkeeper has played record 310 league matches consecutively without any break in his eight years career for the club. His first match for Tottenham was played on August 14, 2004, and during his long spell, there was only one halt when Hugo Lloris was chosen as his replacement in a Spurs fixture match against Aston Villa, and this halt disappointed him deeply especially by Hugo Lloris, who is considered to be his rival. Donovan is serious about his Retirement
American soccer player Landon Donovan, who also plays for American Los Angeles Galaxy club, is thinking about his retirement citing his prolonged distance from his family. Thirty year old American attacking midfielder is even thinking of taking a world tour to divert his mind from all soccer glitches. Meantime, he also hinted he may or may not participate in world cup 2014 also. His impressive two loan spells for Everton made him a front runner for a probable deal with Everton, but his surprise decision took everyone in a shock. Juninho Overruled Doping Test Rules, Can Be Suspended for Two Years
The veteran Brazilian footballer, who was once known to be the dead ball specialist, can be barred from playing any match if allegations against him are proven. Reportedly, he has failed to go by the doping test rules after a match in Brazilian domestic league where, as tribunal says, he went straight to the locker room without undergoing a required doping test after a match against Ponte Preta on September 23. At the moment, all preliminary investigations have been concluded and final verdict is to be decided by tribunal on Friday at approximately 14.00, and if tribunal finds anything against him, he can either be punished or suspended for up to two years. Two more players are facing similar charges from the same match: one of them is Juan and other is goalkeeper Ricardo Berna. Referee dies after suffering heart attack in a High School soccer match in St. Louis
In a high school soccer varsity match between Lindbergh High School and Kirkwood High School at Lindbergh school ground, referee suffered a heart attack and rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The referee Jim Duniven aged 59 and the native of Sappington suddenly collapsed on the field in the varsity match at around 7 PM on Tuesday. He immediately complained of heavy chest pain, so immediately taken to a hospital where he declared as dead just after a short while of reaching hospital. The whole incident is described by Chris Steinmetz, soccer coach of Kirkwood High School, he said, When referee issued a yellow card to one of his team player, that player starts moving off the field and suddenly referee seen collapsing on the field, which was noticed by the parents who screamed about his sudden failing.
