It is not a new trend in soccer to fire a manager if a club is not able to perform as expected, in fact, managers and coaches are the first one to face the consequences if their teams are not sustaining good rankings or performing well in crucial matches. Serie A club AC Milan is one of the clubs which is famous for its kindness to top officials, but when it comes to expect results, it has the highest standards in Italy. This series could not be a memorable affair for Massimiliano Allegri team despite having world renowned players in his squad, and looking at their position in the leaderboard, everyone expects to be a firing action very soon where manager could be the first one to face the outcome. Milan is at 13th place and their next match is with Celtic in Champions League group stage. According to some insiders, including Milan’s high profile midfielder Kaka, this match could be crucial for Allegri’s survival at San Siro and looking at Celtic performance in Scottish Premiership, … [Read more...]
Moyes unhappy with United’s failure to capitalize last moments
It was rather a sad day for League defender Manchester United when they were deprived to score full points out of their clash with Cardiff City. Had they score full points out of this game, they would have been in the top four in the leaderboard – a step that could take them further to defend their favorite silverware. The whole match was in control of Moyes’ army and they significantly demonstrated why they are different now, but unfortunately, in the last moments, South Korean midfielder Kim Bo-kyung’s injury-time equalizer leveled Cardiff City on the score card and deprived United to steal the show. David Moyes blamed several mistakes from their side that ultimately cost them an important win. It was like a replay of what happened with Old Trafford club back in October when Adam Lallana equalized the match with Southampton right in the 89th minute. Briefly, it was not an excellent show from a defending champion and Moyes knows it that is why he expressed his disappointment with the … [Read more...]
Bale and Ronaldo enjoy friendly atmosphere at Santiago Bernabeu
It is very rare to see two priciest players of contemporary soccer playing pleasingly for same team; yes you guessed it right, we are talking about Spanish giant Real Madrid and its two steepest stones: Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo. These players are undoubtedly the biggest news makers these days and after their nominations for the Ballon d'Or this year, a comparison is quite obvious not only between them but also with their well-known arch rivals including Messi. When it is supposed that two high profile players can never play smoothly for a single team, these two players are proving this theory wrong and never found any misunderstanding among them. Though, Bale has not spent significant time on the field yet he has played sufficient matches with his all-time favorite player and still calls him the best forward in contemporary soccer. Like what is being happened at Barcelona where apparently a rivalry is being in the making between Messi and Neymar, Real is enjoying a friendly … [Read more...]

This season may not be a good one for ace Argentine striker Lionel Messi, but last year, his counting of league goals was the highest in Europe, hence he wins his third Golden Shoe trophy for his excellent performance in 2012-13. This would be an achievement for Barcelona star as he has recently been widespread criticized for not able to attain his fitness. This is the second consecutive year he won this prestigious award: his first one was for 2009-10 when he netted 34 goals and then in 2011-12 for a 50 goals haul. Last season, he netted 46 goals more than anyone else in the Europe and helped Barcelona win La Liga trophy back from Real Madrid. Like his many other achievements, he again became the only player to win three Golden Shoe trophies. It was the perfect time for news hungry media personnel to fire a chain of questions on him, including how much time he would be needed to come back on the field. Notably, he is out at the moment for his hamstring injury and recently he also … [Read more...]
