There are many players in soccer who always applaud their associations with one or more clubs, but again, there are some players who always admire their finest performing teams they have scored the most of their significant goals against. Manchester United’s 28-year-old forward Wayne Rooney is one such player who has a wonderful track record until now, but one team he recalls the most is definitely Arsenal coz this is the same side he has been most disheartening for. Everyone remembers how Rooney’s last minute finisher against ‘The Invincible’ ended their 49 matches winning streak back in 2004, and if this is not the only noticeable performance, United striker scored his 100th and 150th against Gunners as well. How can one forget his smashing hat-trick when United crushed Wenger side with 8-2 two years ago? This is not the end of a nightmare for Arsenal coz he is the only one to fire ten goals against them – more than any other team Rooney has scored against, and if we look at last 11 … [Read more...]

Many legendry soccer players have recently been accused of using dives wrongly just to earn their teams a penalty and United’s Ashley Young is the new name to be in this list. In Tuesday’s Champions League Group A clash with Real Sociedad in Spain, the 28-year-old midfielder used his diving skills and earned a penalty and later many accused him of conning the referee, who was not in a better position to see the actuals, for an unfair reason and asked for a disciplinary action against him. Soccer is an entire world in itself where relations keep building and knocking every other day, in fact, it is very common to see a player, who has until been criticizing his club, becomes a loyal fan of the same club and starts praising it surprisingly. Rewards and punishments are not the prerogative of English Premier League clubs, perhaps it happens around the world including Italian league Serie A. Following the tradition of punishing non performing executives, it was in the news off late that AC Milan is about to sack its CEO Adriano Galliani for club’s miserable performance this season. Notably, 69-year-old Italian has been serving the club since 1986, in fact, he used to be compared with United legendry manager Alex. Anyhow, you can call it a generation change or whatever, but ever since Silvio Berlusconi, daughter of club owner Barbara Berlusconi, has joined the board of directors, she made many changes on every level of club administrations, including sale of their starlets like Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to German club PSG.
