Frank Lampard sets up new record, pushes Chelsea into Champions League
Chelsea’s midfielder Frank Lampard has achieved a milestone by becoming the highest goals’ scorer for his club beating Bobby Tambling's record of 202 goals. He also played the lead role in away match with Aston Villa on Saturday by scoring both goals for his side. His goals came on the right time coz Chelsea was trailing with 1-0 at one stage but when Lampard struck a goal in 61st minute and then a winner in the 88 minutes, it was confirmed that Blues would play in the Champions League. It was a dream for his temporary manager to finish at least in the top four, and he did it in style thanks to the record breaking performance by Frank Lampard. Wayne Rooney could stay at United after Moyes appointment as manager
English footballer Wayne Rooney has been in the news for quite some time now, especially for his decision to leave the club, perhaps he was so desperate to leave the club until recently that he made two formal requests to leave Manchester United in recent past. It was rather a difference of opinions between a player and club, but now things can change somewhat coz the manager who gave him his first break playing for Everton, is now the new manager of Manchester United. David Moyes replaces Sir Alex Ferguson
Rumors were everywhere about who will replace the high profile United manager ever since he announced his retirement post this season. There were some names on the cart about the probable replacement, and one of them: David Moyes, finally seals the deal to take over the EPL champions charge for next six years starting 1st July. Moyes has been in charge for Everton for eleven long years; hence it was not an easy decision for him to leave such a long association, but how can anyone ignore an offer coming from United’s den? Even Moyes agrees that it was very tough for him to leave Goodison Park, but he could not refuse United.
