Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks in no hurry to bring it ace midfielder Jack Wilshere back who has been sidelined since March 3 after reporting his ankle problem. His injury took more than expected time in healing which also includes a rehabilitation session back in Dubai, but despite all this, he is not available to play for Arsenal citing more time required to fully recover from his ankle bone injury. Manager confirmed that Wilshere still stands where he was three weeks ago hence he needs some more time in getting back into his shoes. GFC Capital sells 10% LUFC stake to an Investment Bank
Last week, when media flashed news citing Leeds United Football Club’s owner’s GFC Capital’s intentions to sell a stake of their holdings, nobody believed; even GFC backtracked from their consolidation balance sheet’s facts. Actually, Gulf Finance House acquired English club back in December and since then they put its assists and liabilities as ‘held for sell’ in their consolidated balance sheet. When media unearthed their talks with a Bahrain-based company for a possible sale, they refused to confirm the report. Now, everything is clear coz GFC has finally sold 10% of its stake in the football club to a Bahrain-based International Investment Bank. English soccer team is desperately lacking a defender these days, and despite a need of the hour, manager Roy Hodgson has ruled any chance of asking former Chelsea and England skipper John Terry to break his retirement. Hodgson is lacking good defenders for England’s coming world cup qualifiers after being hit by injuries to its main players; hence it was presumed by the media that Terry could be roped in, but Hodgson has no interest in doing so.
