Manchester City Loss is United Gain; comfortable on the top

March 17, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

EPL season has now reached to its last leg of nine matches and Manchester United has opened its rank with a comfortable lead over second place holder City. Thanks to the City’s loss at Everton and United win over Reading that placed them on a relaxed position. At the moment, United has a clear advantage of fifteen points from its chaser: City, so only a comprehensive debacle can stop them being the next EPL title holder this year. United’s nail biting finish over Reading gave them a much needed momentum where they finally managed to win just by 1-0 thanks to Wayne Rooney who earned a lead in the 21st minute and rest is done by United defense by not allowing Reading even to equalize the lead. These are crucial days of the league; hence every victory worth more than we could think, and that is why Rooney said after the match, “We knew the three points was the most important thing today — especially after City dropped three points.” Likewise, Manchester City conceived a 2-0 defeat at … [Read more...]

March 17, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Finally, Champions league list of last eight has been finalized and its highlight is that two arch rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid are standing right opposite to each other. Besides, there is one more interesting part of the last eight where Barcelona is going to face David Beckham’s PSG in the quarterfinal. Other quarterfinals involve Málaga playing Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid playing Galatasaray, and Bayern meeting with Juventus in their first knock out match of the league. Other two matches are insignificant at this stage but anything can happen at the last moment. Anyways, PSG is itself considering their big bash a special one coz they are meeting none other than Barca, Their sporting … [Read more...]

Mancini laughs at his City leaving reports

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has clearly denied reports that say he could join Russian club Zenit St Petersburg if his contract at Etihad Stadium expires prematurely. He signed a five-year contract with EPL club last summer so chances of him leaving the club are very low looking at the recent developments. He jokingly said at a press conference recently that he can’t bear the cold at Russia hence he is not leaving to anywhere! Actually, big spending Russian club has not seen so much improvement in its position either in Russian league, where it lasted on the third spot, or in European League, where it has been knocked out by Basel on Thursday despite spending multi millions on Hulk and Axel Witsel last summer; hence they have approached Mancini to replace its current coach and Mancini fellow Italian Luciano Spalletti. Likewise, City’s performance in EPL this season was also not memorable; they knocked out of the league in group stage along with defending champion Chelsea, and … [Read more...]
