Jupp Heynckes to participate in his 1000th Bundesliga game

Jupp Heynckes, the current manager of Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, is on the threshold of creating a milestone of its kind by participating in his 1000th game in the league. Bayern Munich upcoming clash with Werder Bremen will be his 1000th match while being in the league either as a player or as a manager. During his long running career, he played 369 matches as a player for both Borussia Monchengladbach and Hannover along with serving in 630 more games as manager of various clubs, like Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen, Monchengladbach, and Schalke. At the moment, Bayern Munich is leading the tally in Bundesliga with its comprehensive lead than second placeholder Dortmund. Since, it has to play 12 more matches; it is surely the most favorite to be German champions this season. Twenty one year old Neymar could be the most favorite player for Pele, but it is also true that he is his biggest critic as well. Like, until few weeks ago, Pele was placing him in parallel to Messi or Maradona, but now; he himself is criticizing his style of play citing he tries to do too much when he is on the field. Spurs fans attacked by so called thugs in Lyon

You can call it just another incident where Tottenham Hotspur fans were targeted by a group of hooligans – this time in Lyon. The English club confirmed about such an incident where three of its fans sustained minor injuries. Looking at the injuries, it looks to be a minor incident, but on the contrary, the attack was severe enough and aimed towards Spurs fans only. Is it also a mare incident that attackers were belonged to Nazis who also gave Nazi salutes during their attack? This is not the first time Spurs fans have been targeted in such an incident. A group of their fans were also targeted in similar attack in Rome back in November when they were celebrating their game against Lazio. Technology enters soccer; Goal-Line Technology is now a reality

The most talk about technological input in soccer has finally been approved for use by soccer’s global governing body FIFA, and after its go ahead signal, such a technology will officially be a part of 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil. Broadly, there are four providers of this technology based on their own method and which one of them will be used is not yet decided. FIFA has planned to issue a tender asking all interested providers and then it will decide which one should be used finally. The ultimate chosen technology will then be used in summer’s Confederations Cup in Brazil before world up. If everything goes as planned, EPL has also promised to implement it from next season, and as expected, more leagues will also follow this innovative product of the twenty first century.
