2 - 1 Manchester United secured its place in the FA cup’s quarterfinal by beating Reading in the pre-quarterfinal with a comprehensive margin. They beat Reading easily by 2-1 at Old Trafford on Monday. United, indeed, remained on the driver seat throughout the game, but it was Nani and Javier Hernandez who changed the result in its favor by scoring two quick goals. Reading is among the few clubs who are known for their rock solid defense and that is why Alex Ferguson men had to struggle to cross their net despite having in control throughout the match. Liverpool crushed Swansea by 5-0 in the Premier League
5 - 0 It was like a horror show for Swansea City when they were almost crushed by the Liverpool like never before. It was a surprising comeback by Brendan Rodgers team coz they were missing a win from last five matches in the league. More importantly, it was big relief for Rodgers by defeating none other than his former club. Factually, it was first Liverpool win against a top 10 team of the league, hence this win is being taken as their comeback win in the league and they can again do the same when they meet Swansea again a week later. Messi shines in Barca 2-1 win over Granada
Lionel Messi is back again with his record making machinery and scored two brilliantly executed goals against Granada in the Champions League. His goals are also important coz they brought back Braca from a trailing position at half time, and more especially, they took over Messi tally of goals over 300 now. He added 300th and 301st goals to his all-time goals’ count and shines in the Barca’s win against Juan Antonio Anquela club. First goal of the game was scored by Odion Ighalo against all odds in the 26th minute of the game and they enjoyed the lead for remaining first half of the game. Now, an electronic chip to monitor players’ health during game
Under current laws of the game, no electronic communication is allowed between players, who are on the field, and staff, officials, etc. But now, a possibility is being developed where players can be relaxed to wear a microchip which would be a smart medical chip and its job would be to analysis and scan players’ health during play. Right now, this exceptional change is in discussion stage, but if rumors are to be believed, it will start on a trial basis from next month. IFAB, the International FA Board which is responsible to draw the laws of the game, has been asked to implement the trail from coming month. Though, there is no decided place where such a chip will be installed; some are advising it to be placed on collar while others are advising it to be in the strips. Hooligans attacked Liverpool fans in St Petersburg
In another terrifying incident in an Europa League match between Liverpool and Zenit, here in Zenit St Petersburg stadium on Thursday, Liverpool’s fans were reportedly beaten up before and during the match by a bunch of hooligan said to be the host fans. A local news channel flashed the news about 40 peoples’ strong group who attacked the traveling fans when they landed on the metro stations to attain the match. The attack was so severe that supporters had to take the shelter inside stadium itself until security forces used bats to scatter the hooligans. Surprisingly, it all happened when Zenit had ensured that there would be adequate protection inside and outside of the ground so that match could be played in a clean atmosphere, but on the contrary, everything that happened was against the commitments.
