Soccer fraternity is one of the most exaggerated marketplaces where relationships start building with just one comment. Like, Zinedine Zidane’s recent comment or rather recommendation about Marcello Lippi as being a perfect replacement to handle Real Medrid’s Jose Mourinho’s portfolio became the source of series of speculations and aggressively highlighted in the media that Lippi will soon be shifted to Santiago Bernabéu substituting Whites current head coach. But, now, Lippi has come forward and rubbishes all the media speculations about him signing up with Madrid. Meireles ban reduces to four matches
Former Chelsea and Liverpool star and current Fenerbahce midfielder has finally got his eleven matches’ suspension reduced to just four matches. The relaxation he got is warranted by his club Fenerbahce who appealed against his prolonged ban judgment by Turkey football association. He got an extended ban after he was alleged spitting on match referee in a clash against archrival Galatasaray last week. However, he and his club both refused to accept spitting allegations as leveled against the midfielder. Turkey's football arbitration board, after hearing player’s defense, sustains his initial three matches ban along with one match extra ban for showing unethical conduct on the pitch. No Actions against Ferguson over in-field confrontation
When Manchester United defeated Newcastle by 4-3 at Old Trafford on the Boxing Day, it was more than a flawless display of soccer desperation where Red Devils showed why they are on the top of EPL’s leaderboard. But that match also became famous over United boss Sir Alex Ferguson’s confrontation with referee Mike Dean, not once, but several times. Here too, Mike Dean did not mention anything about his confrontation in his match report; hence FA has now confirmed that no action will be initiated against Devil’s … [Read more...]
