Vilanova to Undergo Cancer Surgery

Barcelona FC could be a ruling champion of contemporary soccer world, but there is always another side of shining stars which is quite personal and isolated. Barca’s head coach Tito Vilanova, who has been surfing from parotid gland cancer, is yet again to undergo a surgery on his parotid gland to treat his throat cancer via chemotherapy for a period of six weeks approx. Last year too; 44 year old has had the same surgery on his parotid gland, but his illness relapsed later and he required undergoing the same treatment again. Since, his treatment may go over few weeks; everyone was expecting his temporary replacement which is refused by Barca’s president. In a press conference held just recently, Barcelona’s coach and president put a dot on all these speculations to hire a replacement. Sports director Zubizarreta said, “Tito is the coach, and continues to be so.” He further added, “Jordi Roura will take charge against Valladolid. Tito I am sure will be watching us on television and … [Read more...]

Shocking manifesto by Zenit fans club Landscrona

December 20, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Everyone will agree on the fact that racism needs to be cut out from soccer, and there are countless measures being taken out in various parts of the world to eradicate this anti human aspect of the game. Another dark area of soccer, or perhaps any other sport, is sexuality of players, coz LGTB players have ever been a part of every traditional sport including soccer. Now, a controversy seems to be arising from the den of two-time defending Russian champion Zenit St. Petersburg’s fans club Landscrona, who released their manifesto last Monday asking for a complete ban on nonwhite players along with gay ones. It is one of shocking revelation by one of the biggest soccer fans club in the world, however, for the time being, club has departed itself from this manifesto describing it as anti-humanity, but on the other side, fans are in no mood to change their mind or demands. For them, gay players are unworthy of their great city, while ‘dark-skinned players are all but forced down Zenit's … [Read more...]

Messi, Xavi, and Puyol have been agreed for a new contract extension by Barcelona

December 19, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Whatever happened to Messi’s life last year is remarkable; perhaps he is the only Barcelona player who is surely going to last his career at Camp Nou, while other players will keep changing from time to time. Under the current arrangements, Messi has been contracted to play for Vilanova’s team up to 2016, and as per the recent buzz, Barcelona has again agreed to extend his contract expiry for another two years. That means; Messi will be lasting his career at Barcelona only. Other players who have been offered contract extensions are Xavi, and Puyol. While Xavi contract is lined up for expiry in next summer, Puyol’s current contract is to expire after the current season itself, and both of them have now been offered another term with the club to cheer their rememberable journey with Blaugrana. The new contracts are scheduled to be prepared in coming weeks, and then all these players will become indispensable Barcelona players for rest of their professional lives. Sir Alex Ferguson not to sign any new player this January

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has decided to remain low profiled next month ruling out any new sign up to strengthen the Red Devils. Notably, there are many players who were being linked to United in last few months, including Robert Lewandowski, Theo Walcott and Wilfried Zaha among others, but now they all seem to be better placed where they are. Ferguson side is leading the leaderboard’s table this year at English Premier League by six points to its next follower Manchester City, so there is no need to hire anyone afresh, Ferguson said. Not to forget the re-entry of United’s captain Nemanja Vidic who played for the first time on Saturday after a lengthy layoff from the field coz of his knee injury. Ferguson praised his comeback and said, “I’m delighted Vidic is a back – he’s a warrior. It will take him time to get full match fitness but it is a start. Hopefully by the time new year is over we’ll still be top of the league.” Actually, nobody is buying what Ferguson is … [Read more...]
