City’s Gareth Barry is banned for one match after abusing match official

Sunday’s English Premier League clash was a nail biting affair which was won by United by 3-2. But, the match is now remembered for wrong reasons, i.e., for City’s Gareth Barry, who used abusive language to match official. English FA took the instance immediately and acted upon it. FA found the abuses were in contrary to its Rule E3, hence banned the footballer for one match. FA issued a statement and said, “Manchester City's Gareth Barry will serve a one-match suspension with immediate effect after admitting a breach of FA Rule E3 in that he used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official following his side's match against Manchester United on Sunday 9 December 2012. Also as part of the standard penalty for this offence, Barry has been fined £8,000.” Consequently, Berry will not be a part of City’s squad against Newcastle United on Saturday. December 14, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

What could be the saddest ending of once a soccer topnotch referee? A lonely demise! Yes, this is what happened to former Bundesliga and Germen referee who found dead in his Munich apartment on Tuesday afternoon. The famous referee was on the peak of his career in 1980-1990, and later he became DFB spokesman. His professional career ended when he was congested with sexual allegations leveled by a lower league referee Michael Kempter who accused him of sexual offences back in 2010. However, that case created much of havoc in soccer fraternity, including the time when Kempter backed up from his own allegations leveled on the referee. Despite Kempter’s backing up, Amerell had to give up his job and became almost absent from soccer world. Since, that wrong allegation caused him loss of everything he had at that time, he had to sue Kempter for his false claims, and in a settlement; Regional High Court in Stuttgart suggested a compromise price $195,000 payable to Amerell, which Kempter … [Read more...]

If you are a close follower of English soccer, you would have a known to almost tens of different ways suggested by many legendry soccer officials, ex-players, and clubs to counter racism, but none of them seems to be perfect to English FA, hence they are now trying to introduce a compulsory educational program to be participated by every professional football player, club official, and all foreign players who play in various English leagues. The objective is simple, to make them aware of all the possible effects of using or saying anything not permitted on English soil. Last few months brought English soccer at a place where everyone is presuming that racism cannot be eradicated from the system. Ashley Cole’s Family Denied of Posting Insulting Facebook Posts

Soccer is an emotional game of sport, perhaps, it is one of the only sports where fans retaliate using various tricks. Traditionally, on-field arguments were very common to see then came an era where crowd started becoming violent, but after the arrival of technology and fast zooming security cameras such incidents lessened.
