Strict Punishment is the only way to curb racism: Vieira

There is a great concern within everybody by recent growing complaints of racism, and every one of them has his own solution to curb this rising demon. Many say; monetary fine is the only way to restrict players using racial comments while others think otherwise. Recently, many victims of racial exploitations have said that there is no willpower to eradicate this evil else it would not be possible for anyone to repeat these cases. Former Arsenal and France midfielder Patrick Vieira has now suggested a unique way to handle abusive comments on soccer field, and that is, via points cut or banning altogether. Actually, despite his long playing career; he never faced any racial abuse from any player. Perhaps, the member of French world cup winning squad has played in many leagues including English premier league, but never see anything wrong happened to him. Then, how the racial cases are now happening one by another? Actually, it has now become a deep rooted problem, and its extinction … [Read more...]

Andy Carroll is Out for Eight Weeks

Injuries seem to be raining on this English Premier League where some of the finest soccer players are getting injured one after other. An injury to a star player has always been a blow for its team, especially if he has been hired on loan, coz then; player’s original owner loses him without any reason. Last Wednesday, in an EPL match between Manchester United and West Ham United, Hammers striker Andy Carroll got an unexpected knee injury which is likely to rule him out for eight weeks minimum. It could be a major blow for both: West Ham United and Liverpool, the owner of Carroll. This season, West Ham United hired him on loan from Liverpool where he joined after a mounting £35min fees in 2011. His twisted knee could take around two months to fully recover and to play him again for Ham United – hopefully. West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has ruled out any possibility of him to play its next match against Chelsea on Saturday. He told to Sky Sports, “Andy Carroll's injury is pretty … [Read more...]

Five-year Ban for Violent Roma Fans

December 1, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Some sort of violence has ever been a part of soccer games, especially if a match is being played at a crucial stage or between two teams having long running revelry. But, no violence has probably been as severe as it happened in a Europa League group stage match in Italy when many Tottenham fans were planned attacked by Roma fans. Perhaps, the injuries were so grim that some of them were in critical condition when they were taken to a nearby hospital. One fan: Ashley Mills, 25, of Essex, was stabbed by an unidentified man and remained in the hospital, while some are discharged after giving first aid treatment. The planned attack was carried out by a group of peoples who stormed the Drunken Ship pub in Rome last week and stabbed many Tottenham supporters ahead of a Europa League clash with Spurs. Two AS Roma fans: Francesco Ianari, 26, and Mauro Pinnelli, 25 have earlier been booked under attempt to murder charge, but later in court, their charges were downgraded to aggravated wounding … [Read more...]

Nemanja Vidic’s Surprised Early Return for Manchester United

It was a major blow for Manchester United when its skipper Nemanja Vidic has had a serious knee injury in September, and everybody expected him to be out for at least eight weeks. Even, Sir Alex Ferguson, United manger, ruled out any possibility of him to return for The Reds before two months. But, in a dramatic turnaround, Vidic is expected to return into the field much earlier, i.e., within a fortnight probably. His return after a gap of two months, and especially at a time when ManU need him the most, is like a dream comes true for United. If everything proceeds as it looks, Siberian defender could be a part of Manchester United’s squad for its clash against Cluj on Wednesday, 5th December. Ferguson said over his star defender’s early return, “Good defenders win you the league. It would be nice to play him on Wednesday in the Champions League against Cluj.” Moreover, if he could successfully play his debut match after a long break; he would get a place in the next match too, … [Read more...]

November 30, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

There is a saying that ‘all well if ends well,’ and it holds true with Chelsea who was in news for its complaint against referee Mark Clattenburg claiming he used offensive or rather racial language against its player John Obi Mikel. That incident created a storm among racial watchdogs of the society, especially English football association. Recently, all the charges against Mark Clattenburg were dismissed by governing body citing they did not find anything against him, disciplinary committee even held player himself responsible of such an incident if happened, coz despite being connected via microphones, no assistant referee or other officers listened the said words as leveled by Chelsea. Ever since the case was dismissed, Chelsea was on the back foot, and everybody was expecting it to regret about whole episode which has now happened - at last! Now, Chelsea has openly accepted that it was wrong to exaggerate the issue which should have not done by a club like Chelsea. It also … [Read more...]
