Clattenburg Cleared by FA, Chelsea is on the black foot

In a high profile racial abuse case last month, Chelsea filed a complaint of referee Mark Clattenburg accusing him using an abusive language to its Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel. That case got widest publicity, perhaps Clattenburg got banned for the time being. Now, FA ruled off all the racial allegations leveled by Chelsea, and said; it was Mikel who would have provoked the referee else there was no misconduct done by him. Actually, racial abuses have become intolerable these days, and that’s why after Terry’s case, English FA seems to be investigating every complaint it encounters with quickly. It is less than one month that event happened and FA has reached on a conclusion and decided in Referee’s favor. Notably, Clattenburg is a world’s most experienced soccer official who has been in FIFA elite penal and took charge of Olympic final at London 2012. Chelsea seems to be on the back foot after this judgment, perhaps, now, the pressure is on it to prove that there was actually … [Read more...]

PSG Eye on Cristiano Ronaldo

November 25, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Everybody knows who Cristiano Ronaldo is and how capable he is to change the rules of players’ buyout contracts. Earlier too, he holds a record for being the highest paid soccer player in the history, and now; he is moving towards breaking his own record, if rumors are to be believed. In the latest turnarounds, one of the richest soccer clubs PSG seem to be interested in signing Portuguese national team’s captain, and more interestingly, the amount it is willing to pay, i.e., a whopping €123m! All of this is happening just three years after Real Madrid bought the starlet from Manchester United at an astonishing £80m record figure. Nonetheless, even if PSG get succeed in getting him, it could only happen in next year’s transfer window, and as per Ronaldo’s closed associates, he would also like to shift to Parc des Princes. Arsenal Extend its Emirates Sponsorship Deal for a Whopping £150m

November 24, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Emirates Airline has been a strategic partner for Arsenal’s sponsorship revenues since 2004, when it signed a deal with Dubai based Airline Company. According to that contract, Emirates retained the right to name Arsenal’s home ground as Emirates Stadium until 2012 along with T-shirt sponsorship beginning from 2006. Now, the said deal has been extended for another period, i.e., the reds will now wear T-shirts bearing Emirates’ logo alongwith stadium’s extended naming rights until 2028. The stunning part of this extension is a whopping £150m amount which could be a cause of wariness for its arch rivals. This deal suppresses Liverpool’s record £80m four-year T-shirt sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered too. Until now, Barcelona’s deal with Qatar Foundation, worth 30m euros per year, was the biggest. That included Barca’s kits featuring Qatar Foundation’s logo for the first time. Another similar agreement was entered earlier this year when ManU allowed bearing Chevrolet’s logo on its … [Read more...]
