BBC has announced its top five shortlisted candidates’ list for 2012 African Footballer of the year award, and this list is made public via its web portal on Thursday. These five players include two Ivory Coast’s team-mates Yaya Toure and Didier Drogba; perhaps Toure has made it into the list for second consecutive time. Other players in the list are: Senegal's national teammate Demba Ba, Moroccan international Younes Belhanda, and Zambian national team’s skipper Christopher Katongo. Drogba looks for FIFA permission for his loan move to Chelsea
Chelsea’s ex player, who is Shanghai Shenhua’s current forward, is looking for FIFA’s approval for a move to his ex-club. Since, he is in contract with a Chinese professional football club, his transfer will be on loan, moreover; coz it is being happened outside official transfer window, he needs FIFA’s sanction. Historically, FIFA do not allow players to move in-between official transfer windows, but since he has good reasons to support his request; it is very much likely that he will get governing body’s approval. Yes, and this is what happened with Chelsea when its boss Roman Abramovich sacked Chelsea’s manger Di Matteo after a defeat to Juventus in UEFA Champions League.
