Montpellier Condemn Defender’s Aggression against Journalist

November 21, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Soccer has ever been a game of sentiments, and this passion towards a game or performance sometimes becomes so elusive that a player doesn’t even mind using violent acts to retaliate for something he did not like about. French club Montpellier HSC is known for its disciplined behavior on field, but in an unfortunate incident last Saturday, its defender Jeunechamp punched a journalist on his face, coz he did not like an article written by him earlier last week. The incident took place on Saturday after Montpellier’s 1-1 draw at Valenciennes. This intense way of retaliation has been shunned by everybody in the business. Even, Montpellier’s president Louis Nicollin has promised to take an action on his player who disrupted disciplinary codes and used physical violence. The journalist being hit by him was Jose Barroso who works for a sport’s daily L'Equipe. Nicollin informed about his displeasure over this when he was speaking ahead of their next match against Arsenal on Wednesday. He … [Read more...]

FIFA to Ban 3rd Party’s Interest in Players

November 20, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Soccer is unarguably the world’s most profitable game not only for players but for all participants: may it be a club, or even those third parties who are not directly involved in any player’s rights but are entitled for a share in player’s profit. FIFA, being a global governing body of the game, now thinks this is a bad practice which should be restricted, so it now urges that any agent or third party’s interest in any player’s economic rights should be banned. Moreover, it also feels a need of “international standards with precise rules and regulations” to control agent’s behavior in the game. If everything continues as planned, FIFA will table down its proposal to panel’s next year meeting. Until now, there is a global practice where clubs throw away big bounties to buy players in association with a third party which is known or unknown sometimes. This third party may or may not have any interest in the game, it is only concerned with profit figures these clubs make by reselling … [Read more...]

Theo Walcott will not leave Arsenal this January

Theo Walcott’s future at Arsenal seems to be dancing in last few months; coz there was no confirmed news about how he will continue his career once his current contract with Arsenal expires at the end of current season. As far Arsenal is concerned, Arsène Wenger has now confirmed that they will not sell him in coming transfer window in January. If they do not sell him; they will lose their invested amount, coz next season; he will be a free agent and also free to sing up with any club of his choice. Everybody knows, earlier in August, Arsenal offered Walcott £75,000 per week for a new five year’s contract which he rejected, coz he then felt this amount was too stumpy for him. There was other news of him to go to Manchester United or Liverpool if current contract negotiations fail. His current five years contract with Arsenal expires on 30 June, and as far new contract’s possibilities are concerned; he is reportedly demanding somewhere around £100,000 a week for next five year’s … [Read more...]

James McClean receives death threats over his refusal to wear Poppies

James McClean, an Ireland national soccer player who also plays for Premier League club Sunderland, claims to have received death threats when he refuses to wear a Remembrance Day Poppy over his t-shirt. Sunderland’s manager informed about this after a recent game against Fulham at Craven Cottage. He told how James was barracked by some supporters last day over his decision not to wear poppies. He told, “James will deal with it," and said. "I think it's probably to do with the issue of last week. It's a free choice in this world. James has lived with a lot of things, he's getting death threats as well now so that doesn't help.” This didn’t happen all of a sudden, coz his refusal to wear poppies has been criticized by a large section of the society, perhaps a former British soldier tweeted earlier this week that James “deserves to be shot dead + body dragged past the cenotaph” though he later deleted that tweet. Moreover, he has long been subjected to sectarian abuses including loyalist … [Read more...]
