While Brazilian FA is busy in preparing stadiums for coming FIFA world cup, there are other problems coming by in this process. As told earlier, FIFA has asked Brazilian FA to ready at least six stadiums by March 2013, coz at the moment; there is only one stadium which can be treated as complete. Among others, Maracana Stadium is one which needs thorough renovation work and this process can take much more time than expected coz of extensive protest from a nearby school’s students and a museum’s lovers. Actually, for complete renovation of this stadium, it needs to be demolished first and this demolition will affect the nearby structures, including a Public school and a Museum and this is what that is not being liked by peoples there. A 13-year-old English fan banned for racial abuses
Racial abuses are raining everywhere, but this time; a teenager or rather an adolescent has been accused of abusing racially to Bolton striker Marvin Sordell during a match played on Oct 6 between Millwall football club and Bolton Wanderers. The incident came in the highlight in just one week after English captain John Terry was banned by English FA for using racially abusive language towards Anton Ferdinand in a premier league match last year. On receiving the complaint of such an incident again on English soil, both clubs took action immediately and started their respective investigations, and now, a final decision has been announced by Millwall football club. Since, the accused is just a minor and already given a written apology from his side, Millwall football club did not ban him for life but indefinitely. But this time two of the world’s biggest soccer stars Messi and Ronaldo are seemed to be proving their edge over each other not on a soccer field but on the launch party of two big sport’s footwear manufacturers: Nike and Adidas. Levein Pays for Scots Poor Performance in WC Qualifiers
Scotland could have been dreaming of its world cup entry until recently, but after its poor run in world cup qualifiers; it has very little chances to make its dreams true. It is all because of just two points it earned out of four played matches in Group A. Basically; it was the best chance for Scotland to play in the biggest soccer event after 1998, but unfortunately; Scots will only be the spectators this time too. The line of fire, which is responsible for this performance, includes its coach Craig Levein although; there was some time left in his three years contract with Scots. FIFA announces its ranking status of top 200 soccer teams on Wednesday, and it includes some of the interesting ups and downs. Spain and German share first and second spots respectively; while Spain’s first place remained intact for it despite its 1-1 draw with France, German’s second spot is a bit of surprise for everyone coz of its disappointed results of the late. Argentina, this time, makes it to the third place leaving behind Portugal after its exciting wins over Uruguay and Chile. One of the interesting changes is in England’s position, which has deteriorated from fifth to sixth place; its ex position is taken over by Italy thanks to its wonderful performance in Euro 2012 final qualifiers.
